If you have to travel to Europe to tell America what policies it needs to implement, you shouldn't hold public office in the US.

What?

They're just doing presentations there about all sorts of policies.

Have none of you ever been to an industry conference before?

Would you accept amnesty for a secure border if that was the deal? Build the wall, place guards at it, no anchor babies, but path to citizenship for illegals?

Amnesty for a secure border was the deal Reagan signed; a secure border didn’t happen. You can’t give 15 million illegals a pathway to citizenship in any country. You disenfranchise your citizens if you do that.

Exactly; they're doing presentations about all sorts of policies, including hate speech laws. They should be honest and stop calling it an "economic" forum. It's a "this is how you should all run your countries" forum.

I've been to more industry conferences than I've cared to attend. If the conference is about military diving, nobody gives a presentation about Germany's immigration policy or endangered snails.

Absolutely not. Show me 5 years of a secure border, where zero people enter this country illegally, and 5 years of deporting the Visa overstays. Then I would CONSIDER amnesty for only those who are gainfully employed, and have never been arrested for a crime.

Yes, if I actually thought all the conditions would be implemented and continually enforced for the foreseeable future.

My point is, she says the opposite when in front of a different audience here in the States. We need fewer politicians who just tell people what they want to hear and more politicians with actual knowledge and fortitude.

They aren't owed anything no one is owed anything in this world. Every politician that attends a WEF meeting are enemies of the people.

We need to also give dignity to those people who are in the country and those are the people that I represent. We’re talking about 13 to 15 million people — who are, most of them, Hispanics, I would say 85 percent who speak my language, look like me, and sound like me — who are contributing to the economy of this country and they live in the shadows.

Emotional appeals using obfuscating language,. No thanks.

The issue with amnesty (and I used to support) is that every one posting here knows its just the start, not the ending.

The rule of law is a myth at this point.
