Alioto's has been closed really since Covid and officially shut operations in 2022.
SF politicians need to answer for their dereliction of duty as it applies to a lot of things. To allow the homeless with their requisite pathologies to overrun things is beyond ridiculous.
But, also the city has also neglected the requisite infrastructure upkeep on the wharf as well. The bulkhead / seawall has major problems and has for years. Tenants have been screaming about it for atheist 8-10 years and all SF politicians do is say they will "study" the problem.

1. Homeless
2. Crime
3. Deteriorating sea wall — fighting over who pays, city or Wharf
Regardless of whether people thought the Wharf an expensive tourist trap with so-so food or not, the missed revenue in taxes amounts to 100s of millions, so it’s bad business for the city and state.
It’s evidence that Dem/Prog don’t know how to run a city. Except into the ground.

Pier 39 is basically a block away from that corner. Takes two seconds to walk to and it looked to be doing just fine last month.
Bonds just beats his dick to the thought of people thinking he’s an idiot.

At least Scoma's is still alive and well.

Country is decaying at an ever-increasing rate. The termites may have already eaten the support beams, and we are just waiting for the entire structure to collapse.
