Hopefully these "solutions" include indictments

Umm...if the court is openly admitting that the FBI misled them, then there better be indictments.
Illegally spying on a Presidential campaign. Despicable

In a rare public order Tuesday, the chief judge of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court strongly criticized the FBI over its surveillance-application process, giving the bureau until Jan. 10 to come up with solutions, in the wake of findings from Justice Department Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz.

The FBI's handling of the Carter Page applications, as portrayed in the OIG report, was antithetical to the heightened duty of candor described above. The frequency with which representations made by FBI personnel turned out to be unsupported or contradicted by information in their possession, and with which they withheld information detrimental to their case, calls into question whether information contained in other FBI applications is reliable. The FISC expects the government to provide complete and accurate information in every filing with the Court. Without it, the FISC cannot properly ensure that the government conducts electronic surveillance for foreign intelligence purposes only when there is a sufficient factual basis.

They better not issue a single fricking FISA warrant in the interim.

Yea!
That’ll show ‘em!
They are not hesitating to scold them on this!

One of the solutions better be lots of jail time.

Guarantee you they’ve rubber stamped a bunch since they put out that statement.

They’ll institute procedural training lunch-and-learns. Attendance optional but encouraged, of course.

The only solution:
1) hold those accountable for breaking the law by sending them to jail.
2) Terminate the secret unaccountable FISA court.
The first probably will not happen. The second definitely will not happen. The government is never giving that power back that we surrendered to them.
Remember that well when the time comes when they ask you to surrender more of your liberties to them.

This has always been my contention, the Swamp will say we were all a little sloppy so we just need to review our processes and procedures, make improvements and move on......in the infamous words of James Comey..."no intent".

Those useless fricks in the FBI couldn't find their asses with both hands and they are expected to come up with solutions over the Christmas Holidays?

“We need a solution on a way to stop you guys from lying “
How about don’t lie or manufacture evidence? That seems like a solution

I want a radical solution to this Leviathan FedGov problem that we have -- DISMANTLE and abolish every FedGov appendage and entity that is not specifically named in the US Constitution's original text -- if it's not specifically named in the US Const, get rid of that FedGov entity.
SLASH the jurisdiction of the US Sup Ct and REMOVE it's power to rule on legislation as Unconstitutional. Put it back in the place it had BEFORE Marbury v Madison. Restrict its jurisdiction to what is specifically in the text of the US Constitution.
NO EXCEPTIONS. If we don't get what we want then Secede.

Who could have ever guessed there could be corruption in a secret court with secret orders and no oversight?
If conservatives were really the party of small government FISA would have been ended long ago.
Instead we have FISA 702 renewed, along with the patriot act, all with GOP blessings.

"The FBI's handling of the Carter Page applications, as portrayed in the OIG report, was antithetical to the hieghtned duty of candor" required by federal investigators, adding "The frequency with which representations made by FBI personnel turned out to be unsupported or contradicted by information in their possession, and with which they withheld information detrimental to their case, calls into question whether information contained in other FBI applications is reliable," wrote the court, which called the recent watchdog report from the DOJ's Inspector General "troubling."

At this point we have answers. The only solution is jail time.

Leavenworth Federal Correction Facility is solution #1
GITMO solution #2

No offense to the court but f*** them for trying to pass the buck. I'm sorry. How do they not consider themselves partly responsible when they have a 97% approval rate of applications
We had idiots on this board saying that was just because applications are really thorough but like I said that takes a complete idiot to actually believe
The court is actually responding to narrowly. Let's face it. Just because the high-profile nature of this particular case caused the crap to come to the surface does it mean that any rational person should think this is a one-off
The court needs to recognize that the FBI didn't just figure out it could lie to them in the last few years
