of those, how many were student age (say under age 25)?
how many of those had an underlying health condition?

The risk of dying from a bee sting or a plane crash is higher than dying from Covid if 1) you are under 55 and 2) healthy

You should keep your kids home until we have eradicated all the bees, and planes

Why? I have 3 grown kids, and I wouldn't have a problem with that.

If it was 105, I might have a problem.

For my wife’s school..

Temp check at arrival and lunchtime (For those who got dosed with Tylenol by their parents)

Washing hands nearly every hour (20 sec per kid x 20 kids)

Cleaning room at least twice a day if not more with medical grade cleaner that takes 10minutes to kill corona

Kids will Eat lunch in their classrooms

Each class will have a designated (fenced in area) for recess

No time for bathroom breaks or break periods for teacher

Simple ,scan the child for temp before they get on the bus or before they exit the car.Have a temp? Stay your ace home until you get clearance from doc.Eat hot breakfast/lunch outside on picnic tables(pray it does not rain or snow).Set up Porta potties outside to take a leak in.

We have no say so in these guidelines being forced on us.

I never said that you did. Politicians in this state only look out for themselves and their top donors and pander in election years, otherwise they say frick everyone else.

No sarcasm. I don’t like the idea of someone that isn’t a medical professional ushering my kid away to be monitored without my knowledge because they have a fever.

That's happened forever in schools. Nothing new here. Most schools these days don't have a full time nurse. If they are not feeling well, they are sent to the office for monitoring and if necessary, parent is called.

My wife is a teacher, they were given 3 rags and a mystery cleaner. They are to clean flat surfaces in the morning, thruout the day, and at the end of the day. The soiled rags get tossed into a bin in the hallway to be cleaned.

Oh, and they don't have students. It's just teachers in the classrooms.

Maybe not in the land of Doug Jones and Mee Maw, but in normal society, most parents will take issue with their kid running a fever of 100.4 or greater and being placed in a room to be monitored by someone that isn’t the nurse.

Maybe you should check your kids temperature before you send them to school.

Yeah exactly. I’m sure if someone were concerned by the policy, the school would be happy to call him after the first elevated Temp and be set home immediately (if that’s what the idiot parent wanted)

Out of what, around 4.5M people? That's not a very high percentage of the population, and I doubt any significant number of school age kids died

Will they test teachers to see how hot they are?
