No. Finland, not a member of NATO, is saying they'd like to join NATO.

This. Finland shares a border with Russia. Has fought Russia and USSR. And parts of Finland were once part of the pre-1914 Russian empire.

This is something I was talking about earlier when this began
Russia invading Ukraine would undoubtedly make Finland and possibly Sweden rethinking their position on NATO and Russia really does not want Finland in NATO. Thats another shitshow waiting to happen

What a dumb count.
This is exactly what caused Russia to attack Ukraine.
Finland never joined NATO or the Warsaw Pact. They never had to, because they knew how to act as a border state.
This dumb count thinks the west will come and save her. We won’t. And Russia cannot abide the possibility of NATO so close to St Petersburg.

Doubt it.
However, Finland does spend more than 2% currently if wiki is to be believed. They have more of a military than I expected.
