That's all she did. In his sole discretion, the Secretary of State decided to revoke her visa (as a threat to national security) based on that.
Quite simply the rule for revocation is anything against the interests of the US
She should just shut up and go to school or go somewhere else where there is more freedom of speech
I also see 4 flaming liberals posting on this thread

As opposed to those bastions of free and open debate the democrats.
The First Amendment protects citizens - not some visa expired fricktard from Syria.

FWIW, I am MAGA, which also means America First. Not keen on imprisoning people for their criticism of a foreign power.
Why spend money on arresting her and sending her 1,500 miles away? Why not just notify her that her visa had been revoked, and give her 30 days to self deport? Afraid she would co-author another editorial in a student newspaper?

I read the article and it is much more than criticism of a foreign power - at least be intellectually honest about what you write
Demands made of Tufts, etc...

We don’t have to let non-citizens stay here. Non-citizens that support terrorists aren’t going to be tolerated by this administration, and they shouldn’t be

What? How could that be a deportable offense?
She paid tuition to attend Tufts. The Tufts handbook encourages student participation in University affairs. She expressed an opinion about what her University should do...in accordance with her University's handbook.

Literally NO ONE is arguing that the administration shouldn't deport non-citizens for supporting terrorists.

These tactics will be used on right-wing immigrants in a few years.
What the frick is a "right-wing immigrant?"
That's idiotic.

So we're good on that one. Unless that was just a lie?

So?
Tufts University rules have nothing to do with federal immigration law.
I'm not a lawyer, but I'm pretty sure they can revoke someone's temporary visa just about any time they want for just about any reason they want. The criteria are not stringent.
And the university's handbook has little or nothing to do with them.

I was a lawyer and I agree with you completely.
My answer was to someone who thought she should be deported for "making demands" of the University she attended.

Good, then I’m guessing this leftist judge has decided to accept the deportation of the terrorist supporter then. Glad we all could agree

You aren’t really this stupid are you? How much of what you spent considerable time typing out do you actually believe?

I see a federal executive that will shite on the 1st amendment freedoms that are entitled to foreigners on US soil all the same as citizens
Love ya Diego, but these non-citizens do not have a right to be here. It’s a privilege. When a non-citizen is openly supporting an enemy/ terrorist organization, then they might and should lose the privilege of being here. Support of Palestine is support for Hamas. The Palestinian people strongly support Hamas. They train their children early on to hate. The women push their children to be Martyrs. The Turkish student can support this sick group of people if she wants, but she can do it in her own crap hole of a country

I agree that the Leftist judge or some appellate court will accept that once her visa was revoked it didn't matter whether or not the Turkish student was ACTUALLY a terrorist supporter. The Secretary of State has unilateral power to deport illegal aliens.
