At the very least, it's rather goofy to see a sort of local/regional novelty date of celebration (that's been so, and really nothing more, for over 100 years), in the seeming blink of an eye, become a major national holiday
With the idea that we are all supposed to see that as the most normal thing in the world.

It’s all done in the name of pandering to a certain bloc of the Dim voting base because they eat that shite up, but can’t point to anything substantive proposed by democrats that has helped lift them up.

Aimed at appeasing a segment of the population? It's already a state holiday in 43 states. It's really not that big a deal. What's wrong with celebrating a date that marks the official end of slavery and giving All Americans their freedom? You guys are a bunch of pussies.

The especially sad part is that this does nothing to improve black lives in this country, but it does keep them voting Democrat which empowers Democrats and decimates blacks… all in all, this isn’t a new strategy for Democrats, they’ve just modernized their tactics.

I don’t care about the holiday itself beyond the stupid slang name, but it unequivocally does not mark the end of slavery.
That would be ratification of the 13th amendment, which happened in January.
