the Polio vaccine used in the 50’s was discontinued and pulled from the market because it was killing and paralyzing children.

the one you want to brag about didn’t come out until the 60s.
The 1950's vaccine was safe, but there were two manufacturers that took shortcuts in manufacturing and accidentally added live virus to some lots of the vaccine.

I figured that a year ago. It will get to the point where we all gotta get a vax to do anything. Seems to me if you had Covid a while ago you should be exempt from getting the vax.

FDA approval was a foregone conclusion and was never a factor for me.

99+% survivability rate = no fake-vaccine in my household

This doesn’t change a thing for me, never was going to. I’ve had covid and on top of 99.9% survival anyways for me and my wife I don’t feel like I need it.

FDA just granted full approval for the Pfizer shots

Question:

Does this eliminate the immunity from liability that Pfizer has been relishing in? Can people/families with negative side effects now hold Pfizer liability for damages and death?

Polio had a 30% death rate. You are an idiot. LINK

"The case fatality ratio for paralytic polio is generally 2% to 5% among children and up to 15% to 30% among adolescents and adults. It increases to 25% to 75% with bulbar involvement."

I wish you idiots would learn how to read. Paralytic polio occurred in less than 1% of infections.

As someone who strongly promotes the vaccine, I would have zero problem with antibody testing to preclude the need to get vaccinated. Seems like that should be the hill to die on, not making false uneducated claims about what is or isn't a vaccine.

It's technically not though.

Definition:
quote:

vac•cine vak-sen', vak'sen?: A preparation of a weakened or killed pathogen, such as a bacterium or virus, or of a portion of the pathogen's structure that upon administration to an individual stimulates antibody production or cellular immunity against the pathogen but is incapable of causing severe infection.

Need a way to test for memory T & B cells.

Your antibodies go away over time, but that doesn't make you less immune.

That still doesn't account for people who will simply never get it. Like cancer.

Polio took 42 years from discovery until public availability

There was also this problem.

quote:

From 1955 to 1963, an estimated 10-30% of polio vaccines administered in the US were contaminated with simian virus 40 (SV40).

Sometimes it takes a long time for the CDC to inform the public there is a problem with a vaccine. I would imagine it will be especially true of the Covid vaccines.

Probably not relevant, but Scott Gottleib, currently on the Pfizer board of directors, was FDA commish 2017-2019.

Polio vaccine wasn't created in 10 months

It took about 20 months of trials as opposed to the 18 months it has taken to approve the Pfizer vaccine. And that was in the 1950's.

The Polio vaccine took over 20 YEARS, not months before it was successful enough to get government approval in the US.

Every drug ever recalled in my lifetime was first approved by the FDA. This changes nothing IMO. What it will do is open up the legal avenue for entities that want to require vaccination for whatever reason i.e. airline travel.

And my dad had a heart attack from Vioxx in 2002. he died last year due to heart complications that he never got over thanks to that FDA approved poison.

It’s relevant. And it’s like every area of our economy. There’s an incestuous relationship between industry and government.

A vaccine is whatever the government wants it to be.

If we don’t like our government, we have to change it. There’s numerous ways to do that.

I have 5 siblings. 1 older and 4 younger. They all got chickenpox at the same time. I didn't and never have.
