So the FDA isn’t backing away from the drug. Got it.

Ok. Trump the film flam man. Good one.

What do you think about Biden and what juvenile name should I call him on the same level as flim flam man?

Siri hates flim flam.

FDA Warns Against Wide Use Of The Drugs Trump Hailed As 'Game Changers'

Doc commie is being coy and sneaky. The fda isn’t backing away from the use of the compound.

He’s funny.

The warning is about the side effects which are already known. Their opinion as to whether it’s effective or not for Corona isn’t very relevant.

I didn’t address its effectiveness, I addressed its side effects in relation to covid.

I just read on another thread that a study had to be tapered because patients were experiencing irregular heartbeat.

Don’t you think it’s germane and timely for the FDA to issue this warning, knowing that?

C'mon now, Shawty. This drug should never have been pimped like this in the first place and you know it.

I'm fine with doctors making doctor decisions and nothing that occurred prevented that.

In FACT, the only politicians that tried to IMPOSE politics on this drug were Democrats who banned doctors from using it.

But I'm sure you were ok with that hack

The same FDA that approves drugs for depression that causes depression and suicidal tendencies? I don’t know?

Don't know about that one, but the principle would be the same. Politicians should frame public discussions of experimental drugs as experimental and leave them to their domain to discuss the results instead of acting like pitch-men or restricting access to meds just to score points with your base in a pissing contest.

On what planet is literally BANNING actual doctors from using a treatment via executive action the same as cheering a drug on while letting actual doctors decide how they'll treat?

Good God man.

I didn't say the action is the same. I said the principle is the same. Yes, banning is worse. But Trump has the biggest bully pulpit in the world, so what he does matters there too.

That doesn't improve the stupidity of your position

this is just dumb. He wasn't forcing any doctors to prescribe it and doctors themselves were asking for access to it.

You are being absurd because you are so deranged regarding Trump

The story is that the FDA was staying neutral on the subject of HCQ for COVID until more data came in and they're now coming out against.
No.
Here is the story.

The FDA warning is ridiculous in light of the chloroquine study findings which it is basing its hydroxychloroquine warning on.

The recommendation should have been specific to the CQ 1200mg/d "high dose regimen" (or HCQ equivalent) if administered with coincident azithromycin.

Lower dose bid CQ w/ or w/o azithromycin is as safe now as it has been since the 1940's when the drug was first widely employed. If you are a "doc" as your username implies, I'm surprised you'd not know that.

Tell that to NitWhit.

Meanwhile, there is nothing in Trump's statements re: CQ/HCQ that is not spot on. At least no statements I am aware of. If you are aware of something, feel free to specifically cite it.

Nope Trump pointed a gun at Dr Fauci and demanded he start naming random drugs so that he could go demand its use as a treatment. hydroxychloroquine sounded the fanciest so he went with that
