I think everyone has underestimated how deeply dug in the establishment govt is in the FBI and other agencies.

I dont think many understand that monumental task. When Mueller took over in 2001 he made it policy that everyone had to rotate through DC starting with field office heads....who just retired....as he knew they would. For the next 25 years they hired strozaks whose loyalty was to the fbi not the constitution.
These two that were just fired, thats easy. Its the 1000s of "Eddie Haskells" in the organization that are smiling to your face while doing everything to undermine the agency behind your back while not technically violating policy.
Kash has moved a lot of employees out of DC, probably hoping they would quit. The 500 agents who had to move from yuppie DC to Alabama must have cringed at the thought. Unfortunately for us, they probably found a much better quality of life in Huntsville.

Regardless of the issue, they should be fired if they refused to follow orders that aren’t unethical, illegal, immoral or unconstitutional.
