I guess this is how they'll choose to spin the entire gun rights movement in VA.

I wonder how many of them will turn out to be former democrats.
quote:

Three more alleged members of a US neo-Nazi hate group have been arrested in Georgia, authorities say, in what appears to be a national operation.

The arrests came on the same day that three suspected members of the same group were detained in Maryland and Delaware.

All six men are reported members of white supremacist group The Base.

One of the three was a Canadian army reservist who had been missing for several months after fleeing Canada.

Patrik Matthews is believed to have illegally crossed into the US after his alleged affiliations with The Base were discovered. He was arrested alongside two others in the Maryland and Delaware operation.

The FBI said Mr Matthews and two others planned to travel to a pro-gun rally on Monday in Richmond, Virginia. Virginia governor Ralph Northam declared a state of emergency on Wednesday ahead of the rally, to block attendees from carrying weapons near the grounds of the Capitol building, citing credible threats of violence.

The other charges are probably related to the illegal Canadian, like aiding and abetting.

Could be a crime against pork charge for the Canadian bacon the guy had in his pocket.

The charges are the typical spitting on the sidewalk for the most part, except the illegal immigrant.

Side note: If there were 40 members of "The Base" good chance 30 of them were FBI agents, including the leader.

The charges include attempted murder. I think that falls under a different category of offense than spitting on the sidewalk.

ANTIFA is going so they will be spared arrest, no? How fricked up is it that ANTIFA will be glorified in fighting good citizens that are not extremists but the media will say they are.

No mention in the linked article of the original arrest that brought this group to light, which was connected to an actual crime.

An FBI informant in a “neo Nazi” group incites a 2nd generation Muslim immigrant to vandalize Jewish property. That, my friends, is the sorry state of white supremacy in the Current Year.

Somewhere, Bull Connors is weeping.

Yea, can’t imagine anyone defending these lunatics...
quote:

The Base is committed to promoting anarchy through violence with the goal of igniting a race war, according to Reuters. It hopes to ‘impose order from chaos,’ according to the Counter Extremism Project, and its members train as soldiers in camps around the country. The group began in 2018, and though its activity is largely online, its real-life actions have been on the rise; for instance, it has distributed manuals for terror attacks and bomb-making to its members. The Base is the English translation of al Qaeda, though it’s unclear if that connection was intentional.

An FBI informant

FBI informants have been trying to use dumbasses to incite violence for a while now. There are numerous cases in the aftermath of 9/11. I guess they'll switch focus to white dudes for a while.

I thought we stopped calling them illegals and they're now immigrants or refugees. This is bad practice by the media.

Not defending lunatics, however I will take exception to the reporting implying that they were arrested for being white supremacists.

Uhh... did you read the article? The “reporting” is very clear on why they were arrested:
quote:

charged with attempted murder
quote:

Luke Austin Lane, Michael Helterbrand, and Jacob Kaderli were planning to "overthrow the government and murder a Bartow County couple" who they believed to be Antifa members, Floyd County police said in a statement.

The gang member, presumed to be Mr Matthews, is said to have called for the "death penalty" against anyone engaged in anti-fascist activities.

If this is a crime, half this board would be locked up.

They're just rounding up a bunch of idiots to try to paint the pro 2nd amendment movement badly when it's getting a lot of attention. This is theater. The media will now talk about this instead of any of the actual issues.

That was clearly included as background material to connect this Matthews character to the three who were arrested.

These three dickbags had picked out a specific couple to murder. Stop trying to minimize their crimes.
