You don't think there is a price to be paid for attempting to assault duly elected representatives of the people? Because that's what happened.

They went after Leviathan. Leviathan struck back.Pay the price . You think Trump would chuckle and say "...oh, those guys" if it were reversed?

you are mighty judgmental from your petard all the way in NZ.

I suggest you read the article or watch the video. They walked in the capitol for 12 minutes and walked out.

There was also a rally outside with all the permits.

IIRC: The only ones that said, hang Pence and brought zip ties were most likely FBI provocateurs. If anyone was stupid enough to bring zip ties, go with guns, go w/o their women and children, and think they would arrest Pelosi and Pence .....

They deserve their punishment---- but maybe need to go live in the Life Goes On house with Corky a bit.

Let’s ask Maxine Waters for an answer to that.

At some point some big law firm like Morgan & Morgan should file a billion dollar class action lawsuit for violation of civil rights. This behavior is way beyond what was warranted and was intended to intimidate the masses.
Another issue I heard brought up in Trump’s doc trial is “selective prosecution” with regard to protesting in a federal building.

You live in denial. They forced their way in and assaulted Police Officers who told them not to come in . You guys just don't want to be held responsible for your excesses. So like children you say ,"yeah.....but" and you add your whataboutism. Please don't act like participants in the riot that day was a bunch of over exuberant types on a lark who are being picked on. They were told not to come in, then they forced their way in to disrupt an official proceeding.

Is that applicable to the people at issue in this thread? Or were they part of the gathering and among those who strolled into the building and walked around?

There's definitely a certain amount of "duh" involved. But it's plainly obvious that our federal legal apparatus is mobilized to punish and ruin even those who were bystanders. The charges confirm that these were not significant actors. It's a waste of time and money to "protect democracy" by a country that isn't serious about being a country in the first place.

I'd love to know the end result of those versus J6. I'd also bet the Fedtards didn't send the jackboots to kick down the doors of anyone they missed that day.

no worries.. his own link showed the huge discrepancy in punishment.

The political boards resident legal expert everyone!

Wasn't that just more of a 'clearing the building' deal anyway? Is there anything showing anyone involved in goofy left-leaning protests like that being arrested and charged even just days, or more, THREE YEARS after such goofy acts?

And not even close to beating down the doors for the Senate Confirmation hearing of Kavanaugh.

I think if the same search criteria is used as is this article; there was another group (of 3 I believe) that were arrested in Jan. that did fight the cops. This Dr. and her husband apparently did not.

Guess the agents had rounded up all of the demonstrators who interrupted the Kavanaugh confirmation hearings and had nothing else to do so they arrested this dangerous couple, right?

More than 300 protesters arrested as Kavanaugh demonstrations pack Capitol Hill

Kavanaugh protests escalate, over 120 arrested on Capitol Hill

The Resistance At The Kavanaugh Hearings: More Than 200 Arrests

Now do all the ones over the last 4 years. The ones that initially got away.

I am sure the FBI got geofencing data and Bank of America charge information for every single person that was in the DC area at the time.

There was a permit on the Ellipse not on the Capitol steps... if you don't know the difference, I suggest you get a map of DC and look at it.

I don't give a flying frick if they were in there for 12 seconds. 12 minutes or 12 hours, they were not supposed to be there and they forced their way in as p art of a mob who had been assaulting pice officers tasked with trying to keep them off Capitol grounds.

....and no, it was not a bunch of FBI guys instigating.....and even if that were true whose the azzhole then? "Oh, why I was not gonna rush into the Capitol, but you know there were some very persuasive guys there that told me it was OK to rush the closed doors manned by police and break windows and run rampant through the place.... it was the FBI, I tell you.....oh yeah and ANTIFA....I couldn't control myself."

Fricking idiots....azzholes, all of them

The issue is that I don't think you're a retard and you're perfectly capable of grasping the point being made.

Am I wrong?

Soo.. are you saying that it is ok for police to go to people’s homes.. anywhere in this country.. and arrest people in full tactical gear with automatic weapons, WITHOUT a warrant, for a few misdemeanors?

You are responding to someone who would have you arrested for not believing a man can get pregnant. You are wasting your time.

I actually somewhat agree and I definitely think showing up at their house with an assault team with guns drawn is over the line. But they should pay a price for their utter stupidity that they themselves freely engaged in. The FBI didn't make them do it and they were not kidnapped by the FBI and then set free there either.

I've been on record on this board saying that everyone involved should just be charged with a simple trespass and pay a nominal fine and we would be done with it.

But don't act like people that day had benevolent intent
