I can’t believe people tend to look unfairly on blatant ethnic cleansing. One can argue that the Gazans and Hezbollah brought this upon themselves, but there is no mistaking the absolutely brutal dismantling of civilian infrastructure in Gaza. The Isrealis literally bulldozed entire cities block by block.
That said, Israel only gives a frick about Israel (which is their prerogative), but they are not in any way a reliable ally for the US or anyone else. They have repeatedly disregarded the US and its objectives, even when it would clearly frick us over, so frick them.

The US would do the exact same thing to parts of Mexico or Canada under the same circumstances.

Except for that one time Israel agreed to about 99% of the land the Palestinians wanted but Arafat said frick you and launched an intifada. Oh vey!

I truly hate the media. I'm going to be very well off in retirement yet surrounded by poor socialist and communist liberals demanding part of my retirement. Liberals killed the UK, and their next stop is the US. Will probably disband the military in the interest of world peace.

Honestly yes, agreed. The ME terrorism and as a result, likely terror cells in the US, would be thousandfold if not for Israel and their intelligence agencies. They are far more western than any other country in the region by far, and it's why they are hated. Most of the people who hate them likely hang out on reddit or were influenced by news articles the AP ran that were scraped from al Jazeera.
