Trump letting Fauci and Birx have the level of control they did over the White House Covid-19 response is by far the biggest mistake of his presidency. And one that he completely owns.

It helped crush the booming economy, put millions out of a job, demoralized his base and is having effects on the 2020 election that is still pending.

Bro those blue states run by Dems we're shutting down no matter what. The pussy GOP governors were going to cave and shut down from pressure as well.

What percentage of the 140k deaths are black?

How many black people have died of covid due to lack of healthcare access?

How many black people who have died of covid had self-inflicted comorbidities such as obesity?

Let’s get the real number to see how many people were killed by a combination of covid and racism.

True, and when I was young (before food stamps) black obesity wasn't an issue. In the late 1950s I remember watching the 3 parades at Sugar Cane Festival in New Iberia. The 'colored parade' was widely attended because they had the best marching bands.

The black female majorettes and pep squad leading the band had perfectly fit bodies. Have you seen black majorettes these days?

Are we certain that Fauci understood the question?

Rep. Bobby Rush was doing his best Mushmouth impression, and it was practically unintelligible.

And yes, bleeding heart libs, I know that he has cancer. That doesn't preclude his being a race-baiting hack.

If you watched Rep. Rush question Fauci you would realize he is not the best and brightest from the Illinois 1st.

Hindsight is 20/20

They were considered to be THE experts in their field by the entire world. In short, he followed the lead of the experts. I would imagine anybody in his shoes would have.

You are judging Trump’s past actions using knowledge from today.

It’s kind of like judging past historical figures using today’s social thought processes and constructs. It is illogical.

I get that you hate Kushner and aren’t too keen on Trump right now due to “current” situations (an opinion with merit imho).

However, I don’t get this particular criticism concerning Fauci and Birx given what he knew at the time.

When Covid no longer scares people sufficiently, you just gotta add a dash of racism to make it more effective.

The follow up should have been …

In your 40 years as a government paid hack, what have you done to address the systemic racism that you've suddenly discovered?

Oh, nothing? You mean you didn't even realize it was a problem until you were spoon-fed this question?

We'll narrow it down then, in the last 8 months, as a government paid hack, what have you done to provide accurate information on Covid?

Oh, nothing there either.

If we were able to study things in actual scientific ways, we'd discover that high sugar diets (eg, the American diet) hurt blacks at a higher rate than whites. There's a genetic factor at play that causes blacks to be more susceptible to diabetes and heart issues.

That's not to say that whites haven't gotten disgustingly obese during the same time period, just that the rate of impact is disproportionate with regards to other comorbidities. It's not racism. It's genetics.

Or working for a living or stop being criminals or stop blaming white people for their problems.
Is there a less responsible lazier or willingly ignorant race?

This proves that as most of us have been saying since March that Midget Fauci is full of shite and NOTHING he says regarding this "pandemic" is relevant.
