Not bad for 800 million communist peasants who didn't understand sophisticated free markets / capitalism? Three or four decades later & the US President is whining about how those poor Chinese "took advantage of us".

You have no point.

You've not been to China, and you've not familiarized yourself with enough facts to speak accurately about life there. China's water supply is generally more polluted than your toilet water BEFORE YOU FLUSH.

To say it "may become" polluted (as you did) is like saying PenguinNadler may become fat.

What kind of deflection .lol Despite that polluted water China is food secure & relies on no one for food.

My point stands . Depsite the environmental challenges & "polluted" water & polluted air China does not rely on the US or anyone for food. China is food secure.

The water pollution & evionmental issues may become a problem to their self suffiency in the future, but for now they manage quite well.

Did every soybean farmer in the US go bankrupt? No, they didn't; farms that are able to adapt to market changes did just fine. Poorly run farms will fail because they are poorly run. That's not a reason to allow unfair trade practices from China.

Winning. They'll still mostly vote for him despite that.

Farmers paying for Trumps Stupidity.

As someone that comes from a farm family I can say for certain that the farmers all know that the trade war is causing a temporary pain, but it will be for the best in the end. Prior to the trade war, farmers were getting shite on by China left and right.

That dampened demand and pushed prices below the break-even level of just under $10 a bushel. Some soybean farmers went bankrupt.

Farmers go broke every year. My family has been farming beans for over 50 years and we can grow them for less than $9 per bushel. Just have to get keep track of expenses like a hawk and not put so much into the crop. Plus farmers are the biggest welfare queens in the world so they will find a way to make it.

All of you COC asskissers can shove this stuff where the sun does not shine.

ETA: Plus Mother Nature is bailing out the farmers this year. A lot of farmers in the midwest are not able to plant due to the rain and flooding. They are planning on claiming prevented planting and getting their $$$ from crop insurance (if they were smart enough to buy it). That is going to cause the prices to jump after the planting deadline here in a few weeks.
