He has to get some kind of kickback from the CCP because no one goes that hard in the paint for them for nothing.

Once again, Trump doing so much good work that never sees the light of day.
The problem is that we know what happens to all of this good work once a Dem gets back into the White House. POOF! Back to the Clinton-Bush-Obama paradigm of US - China policy and trade relations.

A company based in the EU, for example, used to be taxed at half the rate of a US competitor. So a German company could buy a US company and pay more for it than a US competitor because they could take the earnings to Germany with management fees or intracompany charges of some sort and have half the taxes.
Now the US and EU tax rates are very similar and the Europeans do not have that tax advantage when bidding against American companies for other American companies.

It would be foolish to deny the US economy of their investments or for that matter the investments of any foreign country.
There was a lot of BS talk about the Japanese "buying America" in eighties.
What is strange is no one whines when the Arabs and Europeans invest here. They have invested far more than have the Chinese.
One very good thing Trump did was to lower the corporate tax rate so that it is not as profitable as it once was for foreign companies to own US businesses.
One thing to remember is they have the dollars and if we want the dollars back to the US we should not stand in their way.
The difference is that the fascist/communist (its really both) country of China is the real owner of all Chinese companies. So Chinese investments, and purchases of nuclear companies etc are allowing a foreign country whom has hostile aspirations of world dominance to purchase, own, and control your own countries infrastructure countries. Which means they can use that to cripple another country in a form of war.
I'm sorry you are a bought and paid for commie shill.
European investment is from companies. Not their governments. Arabs pose no real threat as far as war, and neither do European countries. China does.

Let me get this straight---a Trumpkin here on PT is advocating for nationalizing companies to keep the Chinese from buying them??
China is a terrorist regime. The US should not negotiate with terrorist. It’s going to be a new world after this virus. You’re not going to have a good time.

You people are nuts.
My allegiance to capitalism is strictly outcome based. I have no ideological affinity for it or for any other economic system.
If capitalism has become a system that cannot function adequately without cheap third world labor and insists on trade with geopolitical foes who are poisoning our citizens, then let's scrap it and give national socialism a try.

True. I will say this. Here in Trinidad the govt has embraced the chinese railroad construction company (one of the most corrupt in the world) building roads, hospitals, etc. With them came 1000s of chinese who bought up every friggin small grocery in the country. How can they buy a grocery and pay so much for it, and run it the same way?
Its graft money from govt jobs in chini and they want to get the money out, if they get 1 US dollar for 8 yuan instead of 7 they dont care they are still up cause it was all gravy anyway.
Im certain when chini was throwing money out of helicopters in 2008 and 2016 thats why you saw so much investment in the US. Same thing, on a grander scale.

Before we blow the whole thing up, how about we simply substitute Mexico/Latin America for China. Sure a few things have to happen, most notably getting the cartels in line and making sure the Mexican government doesn’t let China through back door.
We can outsource everything needed and make the America’s the most profitable piece of rock ever known. We largely have same belief system, and the inter connectivity makes it an easier transition.
I honestly believe the world is going to realign after this. I think in the moment it will be painful but moving forward will be the smartest and more secure way to do business

We provided them the gun over the last 30-40 years and this virus has provided them with the ammunition.
