What are your thoughts on stem cell therapy and the use of fetal tissue in developing treatments?

Those are ethical questions not necessarily political.

Weird. You don’t think using torn up tiny human tissue to be an ethical issue?

Typical radical leftist.

Why are you injecting politics into the discussion of medics treatment? it’s almost like you are letting politics influence

Why are you asking ethics questions on a political board?

I would sign out AMA and go to a hospital that will treat me. Do all the research before checking out, obviously.

Prayers for your family.

What a sad thread. The usual lib idiots show up and show their lack of human decency.

OP has every right to complain. The Dems, media and Fauci all jumped out against HCQ just because Trump mentioned it might have some merit.

Sure it is probably too late now, but who is to say he wasn't asking for it much earlier and was denied. No one can deny that the left is against the med just because Trump mentioned it. If you do, you are a liar.

The med has mixed results, but has helped thousands of people. I would say if any of us or our loved ones were sick enough with this disease to require treatment we would be asking for it.

My response was directed at treatment of Covid.
In the case of a this pandemic, sadly it seems use of HCQ medical treatment is sometimes deemed inappropriate based on OMB’s support. Mandates from FDA, AMA, CDC against its use seems political when many Doctors have used it with great success, particularly when used early. Much is NOT known about Covid, if a patient has little or no hope of recovery and they choose to take a medication, why shouldnt they be able to.

Late stage is too late for hcq. Hcq is best when given early.

At this point the issue is not stopping the virus. It's stopping the massive overreaction of the immune system in the lungs.

Steroids have been found to be helpful, but again better than when they are this far.

All drugs are better earlier than at this point.

It's the cytokine storm in the lungs causing issues now and all the downstream issues from that rather than the virus.

I hope he pulls through.

Only because when it gets to that point they're really sick...

However, vents can be a life saver as well... I've seen a lot of our covid vented pt's walk out of the hospital...

Nobody wished him or his family member ill. Nobody attacked him. Some of you are truly delusional.

That sucks. I would have a medical malpractice attorney send them a letter asking for clarification on the reasons not to try HCQ.

Isn’t the government controlling distribution or did that change?

There’s still no proven treatment for COVID-19. Yet, the immune system’s reaction and the inflammatory response known as the cytokine storm is something Dr. Reed Hogan and GI Associates were familiar with. Because the drugs are historically safe and there’s a lack of other proven therapies, Dr. John Studdard and the physician practice group, Jackson Pulmonary Associates, agreed to try the treatment in critically-ill patients. “If we didn’t have utmost faith that we could modify the cytokine storm, we never would’ve entered into possibly thinking, a bunch of GI and pulmonary docs in Jackson, Mississippi treat coronavirus,” explained Dr. Reed Hogan,II.

You're right. You had one or two posters attack him. But half of your examples are extreme reaches and you conveniently leave out the parts of the post where those posters wished him well.

Is hardly an attack.
