Hundreds of U.S. troops are now en route to the Gaza coast to build a massive floating pier off the war-torn enclave that will open up a desperately needed route for humanitarian aid promised by President Joe Biden.
The deployment order, delivered to the troops shortly before Biden announced the effort in his State of the Union address last Thursday, comes five months after the start of the war in Gaza and as Israel has blocked aid trucks from entering, citing security concerns.
International aid organizations say several children have already died of starvation.
Troops and their families who spoke with ABC News said they had been watching the war unfold on social media and elsewhere, but that last week's deployment order came as a shock.
Several troops said telling their kids they were leaving on short notice was the toughest part.

It's a traditional move but I'm not sure it works here.
Add a foreseeable attack on troops by an entity only loved by Democrats and fringe leftists (Hamas) to Biden's horrific record on Afghan withdrawal - seems like a political nightmare.
The US public isn't clamoring for involvement in Gaza, this is pure appeasement of the hardcore base, just like the immigration inaction is and just like the trans agenda stuff is.
Ultimately if Biden loses it's probably not because he's that bad of a candidate (in theory) or because America really wants Trump, it's because he keeps getting into situations where he caters to the radicals for 2 years and tries to messily clean it up with a more mainstream Democratic move/rhetoric (and which ultimately fails).

I honestly font doubt it!
We always handy cap our soldiers. They cant fire unless fired upon etc.
Its kind of of like the national guard soldiers at the super dome after Katrina with guns but no ammunition.
