Russia was promised that NATO wouldn’t further expand to its borders. Now Ukraine is pushing to join NATO. What part of history did you not know?

While I am no geopolitical scholar, I’m smart enough to know this war started long before 3 years ago.

I wonder why?

Somewhere on a scale from threats from Russia (to withhold natural gas) to being a full-fledged puppet of Putin (which is Putin's MO)

quote:

With the MSM being propped up by the CIA to be a propaganda machine for promoting EU integration. The Ukrainian population eventually bought it.

No. It was popular because the EU is modernity. Russia is their traditional historical subjugation without opportunity to advance (as even Russia itself has rejected economic development)

quote:

Well of course they were. Money laundering and NGO financing which would make all of them rich just like the politicians here.

You don't need EU integration for this, as seen by...Ukraine post-2014 which wasn't integrated with the EU.

quote:

There are MANY that were involved or have first hand knowledge of what happened. T

I've yet to see anything of any legitimate sourcing from 2013.

Almost all citations are from after Maidan had begun, in 2014, which throws the whole "The US created the coup" narrative out of the window.

If Maidan was an organic reaction to Yanukovych's unilateral action, then the coup narrative dissolves almost entirely. All you're left with is the West participating in reforming the government once Yanukovych was ousted, which isn't shocking, considering the focal point of the dispute is Western integration by Ukraine.

He didn’t. ButTrump said it and much of this board is trying to rationalize it. It’s crazy when you think about it. Politics has become sport here and in much of the country. Choose a side and go hard no matter what the lies are

Did you miss the part where Ukraine has been begging to join the NATO and Putin saying he didn't want NATO on his doorstep?

Did you miss the part where Putin already had NATO "on his doorstep" with Estonia and Latvia joining NATO in March, 2004? Both of those countries share a border with Russia.

And technically Poland (which joined NATO in 1999) and Lithuania (joined NATO in 2004) also share a border with Russia since they border the Russian enclave of Kalingrad.

The "Russia attacked Ukraine to keep NATO off their border" excuse by Putin is bullshite.

Clearly

Especially since it led Finland joining NATO, which was easily foreseeable to a strategist like Putin.

So what would be the chess equivalent in terms of NATO? Taking a knight and giving up a rook in exchange? Not a +EV decision at all. This is also ignoring regional actors like Sweden joining NATO. Then you're getting into pawn for queen territory.

the losses are really starting to add up. you phaggots should find a new hobby because you sux at war.

Well said.

"Money laundering" is a perfect example. The talking heads floated it out and it caught.

Exhibit A there was no money laundering: Trump. The man that sells NFTs, cologne, bibles, worthless "college" degrees, steaks, tennis shoes, Trump "coins" etc would have been a willing participant in a state sponsored laundering operation.

And Zelensky ousted the purported Western puppet, which, if that event occurred as you described, ended when Zelensky won his election and Ukraine was free from all of that.

Zelenskyy is the western puppet and has always been.

EU integration was highly popular with the Ukrainian population. That's a fact

Wrong....Austerity and Privatization of Land was not popular with the Ukrainian population

The Maidan Coup led by the CIA/Victoria Nuland's state department is not evidence EU integration was popular.

Yeah, you missed alot!!! It goes back much farther than 3 years ago and I've NEVER heard anyone say Zylenski started it. The failed foreign policy of the US globalist neocons did.

Putin hasn't taken Ukraine. Taking all of Ukraine was never his goal. Your statement is unfounded.
