I wish that I could get some of my white brothers to see that racism is real. Take it from this black man. I am a eight year military service vet, business owner, middle-class, law abiding, and Christian man. I feel as if I represents the best of this world but unfortunately some don't see it like that. Despite my loving spirit and contributions to this country, some sees me as that stereotypical black man. Please understand this one thing. Every Black man and black woman that are taking a stand for equity isn't doing it for political or social reasons. Some of us just have been victimized!!! Is it really that hard for folks to understand or care???

I am not here to fight with people but let's be realistic, America should be striving to make everyone equal in this country. Get to know our spirit and talents. I am truly struggling with the racial division that's going
on because in my 43 years of life I have seen much better race relations. My hope is that I can encourage someone to treat their neighbor and fellow man better.

Disown BLM completely or you are full of shite.

I have no trouble disowning Antifa, two sides of the same coin.

and you still want to peddle the mentality that everyone born white here has a floor that is higher than your ceiling.

I don't buy it, and I never will.

some sees me as that stereotypical black man.

and on the other end, people view me as a white dude who has had everything handed to him no matter what I've accomplished. If your life is what you say it is, why do you give a frick what superficial things they think about you?

Just cut the bullshite, and let's move past this.

Are there racist people in this world who do racist things? Yes and that is people of all races against all races.

Is the system racist or is there systemic racism against black people? No.

Is there systemic racism against white people? Yes (affirmative action, government contracts, corporate quotas, etc.)

In terms of who YOU are, the first sentence is irrelevant compared to the second.

You’re speaking in broad generalities. Please give some specifics in terms of what racism you are referring to, and please offer your solutions.

I don’t deny that racism is real, but it definitely goes both ways...and Asians are far more racist against blacks than are whites.

What pisses me off is the notion of “white privilege”. This term should be replaced with “economic privilege”.

Poor whites are pretty much just socially immobile as poor blacks.

They are. The black men that have been killed by cops recently were fighting cops.

Always a good thing to strive for.

1) Everyone is victimized some way, shape , or form. People will hate you for many number of reasons.

2) Black people are victimized by other black people way more often than any other groups, they are more likely to kill and conduct violent crime outside of their race more often than other races (and it’s not even close), and they are by far the most racist group in the country if you go simply based on percentage of the demographic.

3) the only legal form of racism in any “system” benefits black people over other races. It’s called affirmative action.

I am white, if I traded places with George Floyd, or Jake Blake, things would have gone the exact same way. Except nobody would be protesting, or crying. If you don't want to believe that, then you deserve to be unhappy, until the day you die.

Sure it is, it just isn’t restricted to “whites subjugating blacks”. There are white racists, black racists, Asian racists, etc etc. People suck sometimes, and if you want to talk about violent crime, black on white dwarfs the reverse.

What doesn’t exist is the racism that BLM et al likes to pretend exists.

Until you guys understand that prejudice and by extension racism for every living creature on earth is as natural as breathing you’ll continue to fall for these social reform shams. As a matter of growth we have proximity biases to our parents, care takers what have you, as we grow we learn to trust outward but it isn’t a natural instinct. So racism isn’t about race it’s actually about natural familiarity. The racism label that’s been thrown around to describe literally every human difference is a lie. Racism does exist, Nazis and other politically motivated movements push it but it isn’t hesitations and differences that occur naturally in society. That’s just a natural instinct all creatures have.

I respect your post but I am all about the most qualified not quotas. Why should someone more qualified be turned down fir a quota? I can’t support BLM with all of their donations going to Act Blue Charities which is a PAC for the Democratic Party which has done more to hurt black lives then it has done to improve them. Chicago is the blue print.

Natural isn’t inherently good.

Lust, envy, rage, jealousy are all natural.

That doesn’t make them good or something we should work to overcome.

You are right. Fishing. Fishing is not political or social. I love fishing.
