Judge blocks ICE from requiring members of Congress to provide prior notice before detention center visits - CBS News LINK

So, look for grandstanding asswipes to descend on ICE facilities immediately.

Seems reasonable, why should they have to receive notice

Oh, I dont know... maybe so ICE can make sure that the hordes of professional agitators are pushed back enough that the Congress members can be escorted into the facility without incident (see McIver's "visit" video).

You think all I’ve agents are familiar with congressional leaders? Anyone could just say that they are if notice is not given

Can Congress just show up unannounced at a judges chamber.

Can the executive branch show up and Congress unannounced.

Separation of powers.

Of all the things to complain about activist judges, this doesn’t seem to be the one to get up in arms about.

As noted in an earlier thread, neither Congress nor Exdcutive Branch officials can just show up at her chambers without an appointment (unless DOJ was there to arrest her dumb arse).

She's lighting the fuse for chaos at these places.

Does Congress not have mandated oversight of executive branch agencies?

Yes.

But they can just walk onto a military base unannounced either.

Aptly named for someone supporting kangaroo courts.

Have y’all ever noticed that the rulings by these activist judges are all based on their feelings about the situation, and not actual law???

That’s why Appeals courts and SCOTUS continuously slap them down.

Lord help us if this ever becomes the majority. We’ll make the UK look fair and balanced if that ever happens.

It is how they get their 15 minutes of fame which also serves their delay purposes. If I were the executive, I would give them just as much respect as they give my office.

The obvious question is why would a Congress person want to visit a detention center of illegals?

Couldn’t they send someone there and if they were concerned about conditions, they could take pictures and report back

Bottom line is it’s political stupidness

Democrats are more concerned about people who aren’t citizens than they are of American citizens

Saving democracy

so Congress doesn't have to give Law Enforcement due process?

But muh separation of powers.... Dem Congressmen are acting like they are Kings and can do whatever they want anytime they want on the Executives turf.

Judge Cobb needs to layoff on the corn on the cob from Golden Coral.

Either that or who is that heifer sitting on the Honorable Jia Cobb.
