Are Christians the only minority religions who might need refugee status in Muslim countries?

Why were Bosnians granted refugee status here?

More than just enemies, they are traitors. And we all know traitors are worse than enemies and should go before them.

They're the only ones Trump felt the need to mention.

Is that what it says in the EO?

I would say most are worried about protecting the Constitution from Executive Orders that defy it.

Their worries about it just started on January 20.

Does it need to? It's pretty naive to ignore the writing on the wall because you happen to like it this time.

So you're not going to answer any of my questions. I think we're done here.

No it didn't. It used the third party standing principle, where state governments can petition federal courts on behalf of damages to residents of their state. There is even precedent for it cited in the opinion. There is a lot wrong with this ruling, so don't go making up bs that forces me to defend it.

You answered my question with two more questions. We were already done here.

Oh also this still hasn't been heard on the merits at all.

Right, the TRO does not invalidate the EO. This was just about whether the Ninth had and Washington had standing. I still think that it's stretching it to say Washington ( WSU and WU) were going to experience some sort of irreparable harm because they could not get some guys in from either Iran(probably) or Iraq to come and teach there.

However, I think this ruling and the reasoning is pretty sloppy....I thought the EO was sloppy as well but I still believe that the Executive has the right to bar entry into the United States ANYONE who is not a citizen (or resident alien) for just about any reason ......I'm a bit authoritarian that way.

And favors Christians.

So?

That is perfectly in line with current immigration law where members of persecuted minority groups have differential treatment.

Are you suggesting we should now do away with this standard? You realize by that logic we cant allow entrance of any refugees fleeing persecution from anywhere?

The standing part is definitely a bit thin.

Settle down, Tammy.

And quit reading/listening to Alex Jones while you're at it.

Are you saying that we should no longer give difference to persecuted minority groups seaking asylum?.......or do you just hate Christians?

As it relates to persecution by ISIS, anybody but those who support ISIS probably qualifies as a persecuted group, including Muslims and especially Shia Muslims as ISIS believes they need to be purged to create a more pure Islam.

Is anyone pretending that if Buddhists or Hindus were being persecuted somewhere in the world and we took them in as religious minorities under persecution, the left wouldn't be just fine with this?

You realize that we have been giving asylum to specific religious groups for decades right? In those 7 countries they arent just persecuted by isis. Christians are targeted by the government and the general population at large.
