Yes she does. She wants to allow savers more opportunities to invest in vehicles that promote domestic investment.
That is it. Period. Not force people to do anything.
It is a tough sell because the actual fund/vehicle managers have a duty to the investors, not to domestic companies. Hence her proposal (really its not just her proposal) is more comprehensive, she wants changes to banking regs, and wants more inter-state cooperation, et.
But what is most frustrating about this thread is not that people are so easily swayed by stupid Twitter posts, it is that
THIS IS CLEAR EVIDENCE THAT TRUMP IS CHANGING EUROPE
This is a direct result of Trump telling them they must be able to defend themselves. It is a response to the fact the Europe must take ownership of their own future instead of such heavy reliance on the USA. They are not going to be able to create the defense they need or be able to withstand economic blowups in parts of the world without changing their economies. And that change is to move towards an American style financial market (though with far more regulation, no doubt).
Trump has influenced them and is getting exactly what h has called on Europe to do.
