"I have struggled for many years with a substance addiction. I have decided that the most important thing I can do right now is to take care of my problem," Skipper said in a statement.
Interesting timing, given that the ship is sinking anyway.

I won't laugh at a person for having a problem with substance abuse.
I do hope they can get someone in with the original vision for ESPN and turn it back into the Worldwide Leader in Sports (and nothing else).

I wasn't laughing. Simply finding it interesting that, given that his addiction is nothing new, he chooses to resign NOW. He, too, is seeing the writing on the wall.

So what black woman is now going to fill the position you reckon?

Does this mean that they will start talking about sports again and not safety pins for SJW's?

Interesting questions!

That wasn't an accusation. There will be plenty who come on here and do, though.

I just said “I wonder if Jemele Hill has put her name in the hat yet.”

These days, anything's possible! Sadly!

Is the substance he's abusing cum? Based on ESPN the past few years I'm gonna guess cum.

I'm going with Robin Roberts. Black, female, lesbian with a white husband/wife. She checks all of ESPiN's boxes.

That doesn't make any sense. Nobody is going to resign like this to get off a "sinking ship". If you have these skeletons, you ride that sinking ship to the bottom because you don't have anywhere else to go.
He most likely is resigning due to an agreement in an attempt to keep certain stories from coming out.

If he is genuinely trying to address a problem in his life and improve himself for the betterment of he and his family,
I wish him all the best.

Leaving before his #metoo moment

If I had single handedly destroyed a money making franchise like he did to ESPN I'd probably start using drugs, too.

So did he just develop this problem in the last month since he signed a new contract?

Breaking: He’s going to be replaced by the Dynamic Duo, Jemele Hill and Colin Kaepernick.
