Anything is better than what you are doing now? Don't be stupid. What do you think complaining here does about the problem you apparently seem to care about so much.

I'm honestly interested. Sounds like virtue signaling to me without action.

You're looking for an argument man. Im having a discussion, jesus..

Its laughable blacks think they have a monopoly on police brutality. I'm white as can be and have been knocked around by a white cop in tigerland. I was pissed and felt it was unjustified. I've since realized that not all cops are like that and generalizing them as abusive assholes is just as bad as stereotyping all blacks as thieving murderers.

Ive been making my point throughout this entire thread, guy

There are people in this thread that are okay with racism. They dont have the balls to say it and will act self righteous on here. Its a joke.

I just posted a comment. Let's see if the mods at the NYT approve my statement. It seems to be an Eric Reid circle jerk in the comments, so I doubt my comment will be approved.

I'm not looking to argue at all. I just want to know what you have done about these injustices you perceive. If you don't do anything other than post here about it then you don't really care. Is that not fair?

So, you can't make your point and have resorted to the slinging the "racist" word around, I see.

Your history in this thread is predictable.

I reraise...

Name calling? Nice But I asked directly because many like you have a problem with what they call racism, but it's only white on black racism they're referring to.

Ok. Virtue signaling. Let me know how that affects any change to the things that upset you.

Talk and no walk won't get you to the finish line.

That was a great article. I'm proud someone of that caliber went to the same university as me.

But the one thing that caused him to consider this was the police killing unarmed black men....like Alton Sterling......unarmed.....Alton Sterling......WTF!!!!!

So you are proud of someone that can not do a simple internet search to realize he was wrong....gotcha!

I was pretty decent friends with him back in the day. Never would have pegged him to go this route.

I dont believe that. But I believe when a cop is needed at a situation,80% of the time a white man would be treated more fairly than a black man in the same situation. If you dont think that black people are treated unfairly then we're so far apart that we will never come to a middleground.

do you think it's from prior conduct or experiences the police have had with blacks? have you been an officer before? Every been to funeral of a dead cop? I have...and he was shot but a white kid on probation....who was afraid of going to jail, so he murdered my friend and brother in Christ.

I have a niece who works in Miami as an officer. She is cuban, her work partner is hispanic...

they took a video of a recent call, they had this huge black man following them, cursing and intimidating them "get the f-out of here" the entire time they were there...she said it was all they could do to remain calm and try to ignore this guy while they did their job.

I mean the hood is a rough spot for anyone to be in...poor whites live in country, poor blacks in the city. I don't know brother, I just know you can't expect people not to be human based on past experiences.

it's a two way street...

Until people conduct themselves respectfully around police, it's not going to change, police profiling will roll on because the profile is alive and well

Are you open to the possibility that a cop would treat a black man different than he would treat a white man if all circumstances were equal?

The circumstances are not equal. These "circumstances" as you label them, do not occur in a vacuum in which skin color is the only variable.

Statistics prove time and again black males are more violent than any other demographic. That's a fact, not an opinion.

If a police officer pulls a white male over for speeding, and a black male over for speeding, statistically speaking that police officer's safety and well-being is at higher risk when pulling over the black male. Again, that is fact, not an opinion.

So no, police officers don't treat a traffic stop with a black male the same as they do a white male (equally), but that doesn't mean it's unfair as you allege given the mountain of evidence of black male violence.
