That was a great article. I'm proud someone of that caliber went to the same university as me.

Police shooting and killing black people at a higher rate than white people. Or just brutality by police. No one can deny that.

Is kneeling doing something besides creating attention to yourself?

I knew it would. There are a ton of people on this board that CHOOSE to act like none of this stuff is going on. You can be a conservative and still acknowledge that black people are being treated unfairly. Its right in front of your face.

While there are different opinions about whether the national anthem is the right way to protest, I think a bigger issue is the difference in how we perceive the social justice system and police brutality.

Most black people have experienced things in their lives that make them believe most of these police brutality incidents are the fault of the police. Most white people dissect each detail of these incidents and feel that nearly every situation was the fault of the 'victim' (or at minimum, the victim escalated the situation).

Perhaps we should go back to the basics and find common ground. BLM should acknowledge at least one situation that they feel the police were unfairly criticized (maybe Alton Sterling situation)? White people can find one situation in which a cop received no punishment but should have.

Yes. Nobody can deny that black people commit more crimes at a higher rate than white people.

Actually more far whites are killed annually by police than blacks. Also, whites are far more likely to be killed in a routine traffic stop by an officer than is a black person. Statistics are racist.

I have seen instance where cops shoot black people and will no shoot whites for the same action.

Your post is factually correct.

I generally don't like the separation of peoples but cops are out of hand. They need to be shackled themselves.

I think police treat scum who fail to listen unfairly. Most people, white or black, who are educated and respect the law, when told or asked to do something by law enforcement leave the scene unscathed when they comply.

Most idiots who have Skreet cred and low sitting pants, when asked or told what to do by law enforcement, boot up and prove how tough they are. And end up shot or tased. Is it more blacks that do this? Numbers say yes. But cops treat pieces of shite like pieces of shite.
