I agree with you on this...particularly about 9/11. I'm trying to understand your hostility towards anyone who wants full release of the Epstein files.
I appreciate that you have invested more research into his than anyone else on the Board.
Well thank you for that. I have indeed been on this subject for a long time now.
I mean, hey, I want it all to come out too. And I think it will actually. I'm just acknowledging that we aren't to that point yet and that Massie is playing into the hands of the enemy with this shite. From my perspective on this, this is an extremely complex issue and they are working to bring closure to all of it, but it can't be done prematurely. They have been moving pieces on the board on this stuff for years now and when it all comes down it will ALL come down all at once.
The way I see it with the Epstein stuff in particular is that the "deep state" is trying to either force the Trump administration to compromise their ongoing investigations or to snow them under with public pressure to do so politically under the guise of "protecting pedos." They want to make this an issue desperately now that Trump is back in office because they know they can't release everything and they think that by ginning up this "they're protecting pedophiles" narrative they can damage the GOP going into midterms and hamstring the rest of Trump's tenure with impeachment after impeachment, like we saw first term.
Notice that they didn't do a damn thing with any of this when Trump wasn't in office even though it was right there for the taking. That is not a coincidence.

I don't think it's Hank. My first post on this board ever after spending years solely on tRant was to jump down Hank's throat for some egregious logical fallacy after touting his credentials as a lawyer. It was so absurd I felt compelled to say something. And that happened many times with Hank before he disappeared. I've never felt compelled to do the same with Matt. He too is very logical typically. I think he is intentionally obtuse a lot of times similar to how SFP acts constantly, but he isn't typically illogical. I also have never felt that he wasn't actually a lawyer like I do with both SFP and Hank.
He is also not roadGator. No way, no how. He is twice as intelligent as that retard could ever even pretend to be.
I don't know who the guy is, but I wish we could just discuss the points of these subjects rather than sling shite at one another personally day after day. It gets really frickin' old.

If grandstanding were a sport Thomas Massie would be bigger deal than Michael Jordan.
But still wouldn't be able to carry Trump's jockstrap.

roadgator. Both accounts hate you but both kiss your arse. To go even further they both always mention some jugbow poster so I looked up the account and found something interesting of why they don’t like that user. His user profile is a picture of roadgators social media. If you remember how I know who roadgator is it’s because if you search his username to find other social media you can. Also I looked into MOT and roadgator has admitted before he had two other users look him up and he was terrified of his life. According to MOT post history he never looked up roadgator. Again I told roadgator when he first accused me of being MOT I’m not him and to not mess with me, he found out.

The difference is that when Trump grandstands (and he absolutely does) he does it because he is trying to sell the brand of "America" and what's best for America. He is not a legislator. It's actually part of his job to pitch his agenda as the biggest and best thing ever. It's what we elected him to do.
Thomas Massie's brand of grandstanding is pure self-serving bullshite that has no frickin' hope of ever accomplishing anything when accomplishing things is actually his damn job as a legislator.

For fricks sake. Because you said you agree that the DoJ didn't pursue charges due to national security grounds. You also acknowledged that Pam Bondi confirmed there are ongoing investigations. You also acknowledge that Thomas Massie had unfettered access to the files. Therefore he knows that there are ongoing investigations and charges weren't initially pursued due to national security grounds. This explains the secrecy from the DoJ on the subject and also illustrates that Thomas Massie is once again grandstanding. It's all the guy ever frickin' does.
I acknowledged that Epstein was almost certainly involved in intelligence. If that is true, DOJ could assert the national security privilege as to some of the files. As to the 3 million files STILL being withheld, from following the Katie Phang case I don't think the DOJ has asserted the National Security privilege ONCE.
I don't think there were any prosecutions that were outright declined because of national security. Alex Costa is reported to have said that Epstein got such a light sentence because he was "of intelligence." I would guess that would be the model for other such cases.
As for Pam Bondi, I was clear. I thought she was lying through her teeth when she said DOJ was conducting investigations based on the Epstein files. She was either lying then or when she put out the DOJ memo that previous July that said the DOJ had nothing else to investigate based on the Epstein files.
Massie did not have unfettered access to the files. Like all other members of Congress, he had to use one of three terminals to read copies of what were alleged to be the Files. Many of the files were STILL redacted.
I just want to be clear: are you saying DOJ let kiddie diddlers go unprosecuted for "national security" reasons?

This is a lie. He 100% had full unredacted access. The FBI even offered to help him and he blew them off.

Well, I wasn't talking about the Phang case, but instead their decision to not charge Epstein previously. Remember, you were saying that the DoJ refuses to tell us why they didn't charge him and that's what I responded to with "national security grounds. I frickin' guarantee it."
As to your question though, there are reasons why they might not cite national security privileges and still withhold them for national security investigation related matters. If, for instance, the material was sensitive, but not classified. What I'm saying here is that I think that their current investigations are not to do with sex stuff (I've said this repeatedly) but are about other serious matters that have national security implications and that explains their secrecy on the issue.

So you're claiming that the attorney general committed perjury. And why would she do that? Why would she tell congress that there were ongoing investigations related to Epstein if there weren't? It's not like the lie stood to gain her anything. I find this to be just silly stuff that's not really worth entertaining.

Yes he did.

For like the fourth time now, no, that's not what I'm saying.
And no, I told no lies.

There has been so much personal stuff slung tonight, I agree that it's getting tedious. I apologize if I have gotten too personal with people.
The alter thing is amusing. Starting in the championship 2019 run, I started lurking on Tiger Rant. I registered in 2020. I didn't even discover PoliBoard until July 2024 when I was looking for a Trump friendly message board.
As for the Epstein files, you might be right that the holdup is actually because of national security. If that's the case, I think Americans are owed the transparency of our government telling us that's the reason they are withholding so many files.

I tend to agree, but what would be the actual benefit of them even saying it? I don't think they would be able to give any specifics and if they couldn't give any specifics it would be one of these, "yeah, it's because of national security and nothing else follows" type of deals and then people would just ratchet up the "THEY'RE PROTECTING PEDOPHILES WITHIN THE GOVERNMENT" narrative even higher.
I think that if there are ongoing investigations with national security implications and it's stuff they intend to eventually prosecute, the best course of action might be to feign ignorance on the shite until they're ready to pull the trigger. "Oh yeah, we have given you all you're gonna get. Sorry about it."
But like I said, I want it all laid bare too and I honestly think we will get it. I pay pretty close attention to all of this shite and they haven't lost me yet.

I’m merely curious about this, and although it will be ignored by a few, Im gonna say it nohow: please do not take this as me advocating or arguing for or on behalf of any particular position. Serious question:
What would y’all have to see or hear to fully convince you that Trump (or “this administration,” if you prefer) has released everything they have in the Epstein investigation?

As I remember it, I thought she was lying to support what President Trump had said in his
November 14, 2025 Truth Social post about investigating Democrats in the Epstein Files:
“I will ask Attorney General Pam Bondi and the Department of Justice, along with our great patriots at the FBI, to investigate Jeffrey Epstein’s involvement and relationship with Bill Clinton, Larry Summers, Reid Hoffman, and others.”
I remember her testimony in front of the Senate about ongoing investigations, but I don't remember when it was. IF it came before Trump's post about investigations of Democrats, I will concede your point...it would be wasted perjury. If it came after, I will stick with my gut feeling.
Just to be clear, I haven't trusted Bondi since she shielded her race-baiting friend, Benjamin Crump, from being exposed for producing a phony witness in the sham prosecution of George Zimmerman.
Anyhow, I will chew on the suggestion that national security is the actual holdup with the remaining files.

I mean, I know they haven't. So there is nothing they could say that would convince me they have.
They don't even claim that they have. Their claim is that the materials they have withheld fall within the admitted withholding categories allowed for by law.
Phang Case if anyone wants to wade through it and find the Government's exact wording on this.
