Has anyone ever revealed the real nature of the substance?

Is is anything close to gunpowder in energy released per unit of volume?

any powdery substance can explode in the right mixture or dust and oxygen, even plain flour or corn meal

in this case i think it was talcum powder but im not sure, maybe the sulfer they talked about, sulfer is one ingredient used to make gun powder

I've heard that on here - and one reference by someone on TV - not an official statement, so I don't know.

What do they call a real pipe bomb filled with dynamite - is that an 'energetic substance?" or just plain gunpowder? is that 'energetic substance'???

Somebody has to have some inside info on what was in that plastic container.

Exactly - we've had silos blow up in the Houston area - nothing but dust accumulation from storing corn + a spark = BOOM!!!

But you wouldn't build a bomb with corn powder.

That is what I first assumed it would be - bunch of M-80s emptied into the PVC

You can tell when the Gov't is involved in an event.
Oklahoma City, Branch Davidians, Ruby Ridge. They immediately went and bulldozed the place and destroyed all evidence.

When a commercial airplane crashes, they cordon off the area and sift through all the debris searching for clues.
