Budgetary cuts. Imagine your company is 31 trillion in debt and not reducing your workforce.
That’s cash basis. If you do accrual basis adding you funded Medicare and social security it’s more than 130 trillion.

Not only should the deep state panic, government contractors should as well. The days of cost plus contracts may be coming to an end.

.gov huh? And it’s a “Department of Government Efficiency.” But totally not another government department. lol

This is the wall they are going to hit. When they try to lay-off the Medicaid employees, a line of hospital CEOs and Doctors will be waiting at the office of every legislator.

I would gladly take replacing the Department of Education with the DOGE.
Fair trade.

Interesting that Trump's given them only one-and-a-half years to do it. I wonder why he would put that time limit on it up front.
All the political answers are correct, but quite possibly the most important event in our lifetimes is fast approaching. The confluence of Trump’s Space Force initiative and Elon’s SpaceX Starship could forever change mankind.
The portal to Mars and the Hohmann transfer window will be October of 2026 and with the recent flawless execution of catching the heavy, you better believe all focus will be on an unmanned mission of Starship, and a precision landing on the red planet.

They need to get with Rand Paul on this. He has been calling out wasteful spending for years with his Waste Report.

How much of our tax money will pay these two? I am all for Trump and getting rid of government waste, but is adding more government oversight necessary. Put in new heads of each department and tell them to get rid f the waste instead of micro-managing everything.

I get your cynicism, but a government agency doesn't have to be a wasteful and useless agency.
This one I support, mostly because of Elon and Vivek leading it. Elon believes 2 trillion can be saved, easily, by cutting waste.
I'm sure he and Vivek will implement some type of evaluation before federal agencies will be allowed to expand going forward.
