That's why the kids on here like it...they don't have to work but half the time. Downside is, they will never get far with that mentality.
And all the free time they have by not working they don’t go back to school, start a business or anything to get ahead. They’re basically on corporate welfare

WFH for the majority is dead. You either go back to the office or you will be fired. Elon Musk, Ken Griffin, Jeff Bezos are all telling them what's about to happen

I am a fan of Musk but this is a ridiculous take.

The other day he got confused at the concept of what an asset is.
Earlier today he started a thread with his ever present copy and paste X post about how many vehicles on the road are "underwater" meaning their resale value is less than the loan balance owed on them.
Snitch Barron didn't know what underwater meant (although it was his thread) so to support his OP he proceeds to relay an anecdote from some banker he claims to know who told him his bank is delaying repoing vehicles because so many of them have past due loans that it would crash the used vehicle market to put all of them on the market at once.
He showed complete ignorance between the meaning of "underwater" vs. "past due."

I think it depends on the job. I've got 6 people I oversee. Two are fully remote in another state, three are in two days a week, my asst. mgr is in 3 days a week.
I would know within minutes if the five weren't doing their jobs just because of the nature of their work. My asst. mgr is the most responsible out of everyone, and honestly should probably be my boss.

So you're admitting that people who use that excuse are getting paid to watch their kids instead of what they are supposed to be doing
This thread has been like truth serum for the WFH fraudsters and lowlifes. I think I will send it to Elon and Trump

WFH is not good for productivity.....
Depends. Introverts might thrive in that environment. Creative people, etc. Case managers...Outside sales.
But making decisions on who can or cant opens up other problems. As usual, a few will spoil it for everyone.

If the private sector wants to offer wfh, who is the government to stop them?
You are correct, but arguing with no one. Musk said it is inefficient, and that there is a moral component to expecting lots of other people to work for you while you work from home. I don’t agree with Elon on that point, but he never proposed forcing his opinion on private companies.

Incorrect, if you are on the clock running groceries and to the gym. I don't care if it's private or federal, it has to be eliminated
Define “on the clock.” I don’t WFH but I also don’t clock in and clock out. I also don’t have defined hours where I have to be in the office. If I want to come in at 10, no one cares. If I need to take care of some personal stuff in the middle of the day, no one cares. If I bring in money and get work done, that’s all that matters

Explain why? Seriously? Do you not think there is massive inefficiency going on now with all this BS?

Stay on topic Owl. This is a thread about eliminating WFH. Elon and Vivek will start at the Federal level while Jeff Bezos and Ken Griffin start the Private sector ball rolling.
