The first 500billion is the hardest. Should be smooth sailing from there to a trillion.

He should buy as much farm land in the USA as he can. Gates and others have bought a lot and they want to control what we eat.

I thought i remember reading somewhere that Rockefeller's net worth at its peak would be about 600 Billion in today's dollars? Doesn't matter really. Once you have a Billion, what's 5 or 6 hundred more?

I wonder how much it really would cost to buy a country in africa or the south pacific. A nice island nation. A real life Tropico 6.

I’ve always wondered how liquid he is. The majority of his wealth is simply the FMV of all his assets that make up his empire. Which is by no means a negative.

Not that it matters because like most billionaires he probably lives off various lines of credit backed by his assets from various banks.

I remember the "Elon is a Nazi!" crowd was celebrating a few weeks ago when he was dethroned as the richest man. Ooops!

Tesla will be the premier personal chore robot manufacturer. They will use economies of scale to make it as affordable as a new washing machine eventually.

SpaceX will also dominate commercial spaceflight. Only a matter of time before he is the first trillionaire.

Private ownership is generally held back in value hence the IPO’s that make a company skyrocket over night. That number you used of 168 billion would increase 6-10 fold easily. Look back at google IPO or any similar company and see where stock value went from the teens to the hundreds.

Private company values are lower than public ones because their shares aren’t easily transactable. I’ve sold a number of private companies to private, as well as public companies. I’m familiar with the bump in EBITDA (or in this case, revenue) multiples as private goes to public, but 6 to 10 times the value is a ridiculous estimate. It has happened before, but so has it happened that the market cap of a recently IPOed company has plummeted. A reasonable guess would be that the public company would be worth about 1.5 times what the private company is estimated to be.

Is it more staggering than John D. Rockefeller being worth a billion in 1905?

At time of IPO and weeks following after buying inertia subsides as they tend to dip but as a year goes by with the wave of these new millennia companies they explode. Something like SpaceX easily could have 200-300 or more per share in offering and 5 fold in a year or two. It would be the largest valuation of any company ever in 5 years

You say this with a certainty that, if justified, would make you an extraordinarily wealthy man.

Get Trump to declare the ADL and SPLC as the domestic terrorists hate groups they are. Arrest as many as possible for inciting violence and smearing Americans. They are sepsis to the Republic.
