Ok. Manipulate the forces of gravity

You can overcome gravity you can't manipulate gravity. He's not being a nerd he's being accurate. If we ever do figure out how to manipulate gravity that's going to be fricking awesome. But we haven't figured it out yet

Which is manipulating it you fricking idiot

No it fricking is not. The gravity continues doing exactly what it's always been doing. It literally doesn't change even a tiny bit. You do know what the word manipulate means right?

To manipulate means to control, handle, or influence something

How is flying not manipulation of gravity

Because flying doesn't control gravity it doesn't handle gravity and it doesn't influence gravity. The gravity keeps doing exactly what it's been doing the entire time.

Using that ramp doesn't mean it flies. Skateboarders who use similar ramps don't fly, either.

I’ve been observing this thread with amusement. Anything moving through the air is flying. By definition. When I walk in the ground I am not flying. When I release a football it is flying. Yes a skateboarder in the air is actually flying.

Exactly the frickin opposite of what he was trying to say there. Continues to lie and accumulate 630+ downvotes in this one thread.

What is your definition of fly?.

The act of sustaining and directing motion through an atmosphere by generating aerodynamic lift and exerting control over trajectory and attitude.

This would be in contrast to what the Roadster is likely to do, which is projectile motion.

So by your definition, a Redstone, Saturn V and Falcon Heavy do not "fly"?

"Fly me to the Moon"....

Wow, you should go back and add an edit to your post (be honest and don't delete your mistake though).

It's a vacuum system that increases traction, the thrusters lifted the car up, disconnecting the wheels from the ground, providing zero traction.

I'll let Elon Musk know that you demand the cure for cancer. I'm sure he will abandon his life's work and become a medical researcher instead and get right on it for you.
