obviously this feature will never be allowed in the real world or make it to mass production.
first time you've met Elon?

Tesla's reservation page for the Roadster after Thursday's event listed a $50,000 reservation payment for the "Performance" version and a $250,000 reservation payment for the "Thrust" version, which features "acceleration thrusters." An invite-only "Rocket" variant is a single-seat model with a "full flight system."

Like a shitty lawyer, you're now going to try to debate the meaning of 'flying.'
imagine SFP at the unveiling of the first motorized vehicle.

THIS is new levels of pathetic.

In no way is this a valid comparison

In that scenario, the "horseless buggy" would still be horseless. In this scenario, the car still isn't flying.

Sometimes I wish we still had sign quotes

"What's wrong with me" is my dedication to the truth and not getting emotional or irrational about things.

The tech displayed last night was great enough on its own to not engage in dishonesty about what happened. That dishonesty only cheapens the significance of the tech.

I don't think I ever read you personally attack someone here for their opinions, but you are constantly attacked (even before you enter a thread). There is a thin line between love and hate. These people would be miserable is you stopped posting.

so there wasn't any jets?

The car shot out into space upside down 100 feet in the air, flipped right side up then landed gently 100 feet away.

Elon is over here trying to get us to Mars on reusable spaceships, created self driving cars and about to put a real robot into everyone's house and all SFP does is shite on things.

You lack imagination but that's ok the future isn't for everyone.

After long histories, I will mock people for sure. Or call them stupid. I am guilty of this, but it's rarely the initial response unless they are just being racist or something. I don't care about using ad homs with legitimately disgusting behavior.

Just look at all the people who came in, guns blazing, with some version of this pre-prepared "you hate Elon" response-melt.

The problem is I never criticized Elon and I like him and what he does. I'm a big fan of his tech and what he's doing. I enjoyed the actual tech on display last night.

It's very interesting tech That's why lying about what is actually did isn't necessary (not saying you are I'm bringing the whole "flying" conversation full circle)

By definition the car is flying. How long it can sustain flight is the only metrics that should be debated.. the wright brothers first flights also pushed the same debate.
