Poor Elon still thinks there is a path out it this. There isn't. Washington DC is lost. It's going to eventually spiral out of control.
A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover that they can vote themselves largesse from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates promising the most benefits from the public treasury with the result that a democracy always collapses over loose fiscal policy, always followed by a dictatorship. The average age of the world's greatest civilizations has been 200 years. These nations have progressed through this sequence: From bondage to spiritual faith; From spiritual faith to great courage; From courage to liberty; From liberty to abundance; From abundance to selfishness; From selfishness to apathy; From apathy to dependence; From dependence back into bondage. - Tytler

We need to grow our way out.
Ain't going to happen. To whatever degree we can deliver growth, congress and a compliant chief executive will spend $1.5 for every incremental new $1. It's not like growing the economy solves the actual problem.
This, we are growing the budget at close to 9%, we will never sustain GDP at double digit levels to balance the budget AND pay back the debt.
Particularly when every govt has to offer, green new deals, build back better, big beautiful bills, every other year to throw another extra couple of trillion on the debt.

You just said I want murderers to not face consequences because I believe in free speech. You’re calling me crazy?

Hopefully, though, he will do what he implied in primarying those that vote against what he knows should be done and draft and support some that will understand his agenda and vote accordingly. Not sure who those people are and they might not even exist. But, let's not give up yet.
Elon Musk appears to be so frustrated with the GOP that his financial support has dried up

He shouldn’t put another $ too the Republicans.

Now to effect change, Elon could invest his mind and money to buying up all existing msm- a la Twitter.

I’m sure your wife is a wonderful person. This mentality is pervasive and it’s a problem. We are all socialized to believe this. We are conditioned to only care about ourselves and not our neighbors or communities. Of course this is intentional because the elite can’t allow any solidarity among the working class. But this toxic individualism doesn’t help society or the country.
This is a good point, from a Spiritual pov. Albeit Johnson's "Great Society" program directed Government to allocate money to the poor, with virtually no qualifiers. And look what happened to the people that societal charity (minus the Capitalist principle of competitive-based merit) affected.
"An idle mind is the devil's workshop", and that is true for a lot of simple minded people.
The great challenge of this generation will be to finesse a synthesized Economic/Cultural/Spiritual strategy/system which successfully addresses the above societal dynamic. The psychological power of Envy will have to be factored in. Regardless, as the AI, Robotics, Gene Engineering, TransHumanism, Virtual Reality/Matrix, et al, and Quantum Computers will bring MASSIVE Knowledge and radical changes to the current systems. And and exponential advance of high tech weaponry as well, rendering the status quo of either competitive Capitalism or supposed altruistic, Collectivist/Authoritarian Socialism, suicidal per the historical record of warfare to settle these issues. Not to even mention the possible UAP/Advanced Beings thing.
Fascinating. Until the pain gets too great to appreciate it.
Personally, given the dynamics of Human Psychology, I think it is a bridge too far. And as I watched Docs last night about very old, massive caves and stone excavations all over the Globe which indicate very advanced technology, we may well just be following the Darwinian 'rinse and repeat' narrative of survival of the fit. And this current generation is at a Spiritual crossroad wherein we either consider Jesus's 'recommendations' re the 'poor'/weak links as an ultimate Spiritual qualifier of moving up toward 'Heaven', or we ignore them and hold to the Darwinian principle.

We don’t need the government to do our charity work for us. We have to do it.
When everyone dies and Jesus asks “When did you clothe me when I was naked or give me drink when I was thirsty? When were you a friend to me when I was lonely?” I don’t think “well, I paid taxes,” is the answer He will be looking for.

Vote every single incumbent out. Across the board.

There's not enough GDP growth to pull us out of the spiral outside of China and/or Russia going full WW3, and that's simply not happening.
So if you can't pull out of spiral, the only other option is to go through. And that's where we're at.

Poor Elon and his fellow billionaires need all the help they can get from the GOP. How Else can they pay their Bills?
