Look into the battle of Saratoga. Its not accurate to say that only 10% of colonists supported the war. And the idea of 3% of the country being participants while the rest just sat it out or supported the British is also not true.

If you view the historical rise of National Socialism in Germany as a reactionary movement against Communism then the logistics of how the German population became so radicalized so quickly makes sense.
Of course in school here the story isn’t the entire truth and the storyline just makes it seem like some small group of Jew Killers somehow managed to take over a country and everyone was too afraid to speak up and just went along with it. Kind of like what you’re alluding to. But that is not the case.

When you think about it - how far the left took things from 2020-2024, they rocket-propelled their own destruction. They had the tiger by the tail too. If they'd have just ran a little more centrist and maybe threw a few lefty things in there from time to time, they'd still be in power.
