I used to shop at Publix. Trump and Biden ruined that. Why pay more? I drive a 2005 Camry with 180,000 miles. I live in a 1.2 million dollar home in 30306. I will retire at the latest at 52. I'm doing just fine and not living in a tiny Cuckbox. You on the other hand have a pathetic existence where you wishcast for 'rates' to come down

I just listed the prices I paid this week at Wal Mart. I'm not seeing grocery prices decreasing even at a shitty place like Wal Mart. What next? You tell me things are cheaper at Publix or Whole Foods?
Someone linked an article where retailers said they are NOT lowering prices.
Why does this trigger you?

You mean other than when he stopped the practice of pointlessly slaughtering millions of laying hens?

And posters have said they aren't seeing it and an article was linked that said retailers are WAITING to lower prices.

Why does this trigger you?

That's what I thought. Imagine being this triggered over eggs not being what you are claiming

Retailers have admitted they are not lowering prices. Lets pretend eggs are down 40% how does that really help me when grass fed beef, steaks, bacon are rising? One item being 'down' doesn't change the other 10 items I buy that are up even at Wal Mart.

Eggs don't matter anymore since they reflect positively for Trump

The same people don't understand how inflation works.

Stop killing the chickens that produce eggs.

The spike in egg prices was due to a lower supply of eggs due to the Biden administration forcing the killing of millions of chickens because of the "bird flu".

We are getting back up to normal supply levels now so prices are coming down.

This isn’t the case for any of the HEB’s I go to in the Houston area. The eggs I usually buy are up more than $.50 since the last time I checked a couple months ago.

Democrats attacked Trump for high egg prices, demonstrating that he somehow has control of this matter.

false. egg crying began in late 23/early 24 from trumpers. the same ot rich trumpers that crow about cleaning up big from trump's tax cuts. and, as cyclical pricing goes, trump did nothing to affect egg prices, yet shows up to claim victory when prices come back down. rinse, repeat

I do. I buy grass-fed and grass-finished ground beef.

I buy prime ribeyes

I buy Wright Brand bacon which is basically the gold standard

All of these are a fraction of the cost at Wal Mart vs Publix, Kroger, Fresh Market, Whole Foods etc. for the same thing. Publix has the Wright Brand bacon for $12.99 per 1.5 pounds why would any sane person pay that when I can get it cheaper elsewhere? I'm not an over leveraged poor like a lot of people on here who are begging for 'rates' to come down. I'm also not a fatty that eats fast food 8 times a week like most on here. I shop where the best prices are.

I can play the media quote game. And Dem politicians suddenly started blaming Trump for egg prices.

Tampa Free Press

quote:

As the cost of eggs and everyday staples spikes under President Donald Trump’s second term, Democrats and corporate media are suddenly sounding the alarm—after years of shrugging off a punishing inflation wave during Joe Biden’s presidency. The shift, stark as a $5 dozen, has conservatives crowing about hypocrisy while Trump’s team scrambles to deliver on campaign vows to tame prices.

Take Sen. Jacky Rosen (D-NV), who Tuesday blasted egg costs as “absolutely outrageous” on X, urging Trump to “take action.” Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) piled on Wednesday, tying “skyrocketing” egg prices to Trump’s “firing” of bird flu responders—a dig at his efficiency push.
