Disclaimer: I’m not a criminal justice expert however with that said there are what appears two fundamental principles in law enforcement that must be followed to remain constitutional:

1. Law enforcement investigates crimes not people.

2. Order matters. An investigation is initiated because there is evidence that a crime has been committed or about to be committed.

Speculating but I think the memo will show that the Obama DOJ and FBI targeted Donald Trump simply ecause he was/is a political opponent and all the subsequent MUH Russians is simply a ploy to come up with crimes to cover their illegal spying operation on Trump and his campaign team.

That’s it distilled down to its most basic level.

This is the problem. According to this FISC Doc, the lied to the FISC to get warrants. They also allowed people like Fusion access to RAW intel gathered via FISA.

So when the law says you have to present facts, they expect facts to be given. They falsified facts to go after Trump.

This has been known for the past year to anyone with a functioning brain.

I hope you are not correct.

As much as I despise Obama and his administration, I really, really don't want the constitutional crisis that will occur if a former President is indicted under criminal law.

Imagine seeing a former President doing a perp-walk and going to jail.

Not only would it be embarrassing for our country, the uproar from his disciples will go on forever.

Yeah I'm no expert either but creating a phony dossier in order to obtain a warrant to spy on your political opponents just seems fundamentally wrong.

But would it be better to let them get away with it in the hope that a future Dem administration would behave honorably?

I agree with you. I just don’t know what would be worse for our Constitutional democracy:

1) Having a new executive branch prosecute the one they succeeded. This is especially true because the crimes that are alleged are extremely serious, yet are more nuanced than a 10 word headline can encapsulate and therefore more complicated than the average citizen can understand. Also because the past president was an historically significant symbol of the advancement of race relations.

Or
2) Allowing such unprecedented abuse of power by the executive branch to go unpunished. This abuse represents a thorough corruption of governmental processes that actually does represent a true constitutional crisis. The growing fear and anxiety that would now be confirmed as true, about an untethered and unrestrainable deep state and an all powerful government, divided from the electorate so thoroughly that even the intergrity of our electoral process is not trusted, would render our noble experiment a failure. Revolution would not be far behind.

I don’t know if there is a way to navigate a middle path, but I don’t see it.

Pray, my brothers and sisters! Now is the time for courage and for truth.

The FBI conducts counterintelligence investigations as well as criminal investigations.

I think Obama will be offered the chance to turn himself in, rather than be handcuffed.

The meat of this is far worse than Watergate and most of the other big scandals over the last 100 years. This is the government breaking the fundamental trust of the people by circumventing due process. And using it for political gain.

I feel bad for people like you who actually believe the Democrats you worship are any better than the Republicans. And you blather about Fox News, what about MSNBC? Look at what they did to Ashleigh Banfield when she spoke out against her network's blatant pro-Iraq war coverage. Was it just coincidence that NBC's parent company, General Electric, made hundreds of millions off said war? The entire system is a cesspool, and you're nothing more than a useful pawn to one side of it.

We are a nation of laws. No one is above the law, especially a violation as egregious as the one we see unfolding before our eyes.

The law must be satisfied!

I say satisfy it to the degree the law of treason requires.

For this nation to endure and the constitution stand, all that were a party to this transgression must be held accountable.

Yeah not gonna happen. Anyone with pull like Obama or Clinton will be pardoned. Just like Nixon. fricking politicians will always always protect their own. Whether you want to acknowledge it or not Trump is now even deeper in those circles. If Trump tries to go ahead with jailing these fricking scum he wont do another 4 at his currently held job position. The establishment will come together to protect their own.

I can't find where it says that they i\lied to get the warrant, of where it says they let people like Fusion to see raw data.

Can you point to the pages on those two?

memo will show

The memo will show what Nunes, a member of the Trump transition team, says that, according to him, is a summary of documents he viewed.
