If this happened under Biden, you would be going apeshit.
Hypocrite.

Or call in Erik Prince for truly encrypted phones.
Hell yeah. Between Prince and Musk, we could just hand over all our sensitive communications to China.

WTf are you babbling about?
Fox News Digital found that the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) outlined in a guide for federal employees late last year that encrypted messaging platforms such as Signal better protected officials against foreign enemy hackers amid a Chinese-linked cyber breach. CISA is an office under the Department of Homeland Security's umbrella that is charged with ensuring cybersecurity across all levels of government.
Under the Biden administration in 2024, CISA released a "Mobile Communications Best Practice Guidance" for "highly targeted individuals," who were defined as high-ranking government officials or politicians who are "likely to possess information of interest to these threat actors." The document specifically addressed high-targeted politicos and officials, though it noted the guide was "applicable to all audiences."
The CISA guidance specifically cited that government officials should download "end-to-end encrypted communications" platforms to their cellphones and computers, specifically citing Signal as an app to download to comply with the best practices. LINK

That’s fascinating. So use of Signal was fine? So the problem is just the journalist being in the chat?

They wouldn't have been able to find Austin. He would have been in the hospital getting an "Addadicktome"

A mistake was made. The staffer who made it should probably be fired.
Here is my problem with this:
First I can't grasp that this was not done intentionally
Second - no way Goldberg did not know why he was on this - like text or email or WTF was I sent this invite yet silence
I think a full investigation included all text and phone calls and who sent for criminal charges against both
People on the call obviously don't know all initials of participants so I don't really blame them

Listen, I know it’s hard for you to handle that this really is a big nothingburger, however your reaction shows that you have no clue what you are talking about. Let me help you:

This is such a bizarre discussion. NO ONE thinks that it would have been a good idea for the Houthis to have this information. They would have assumed that:
1) the strikes were coming their way soon;
2) anti-aircraft defenses should be on high alert;
3) the Americans had targeting information; and,
4) Houthi assets (including leadership) needed to be moved from their present locations ASAP.
This is such a weird hill for cultists to die on. Personally, I thought Goldberg was lying about the texts containing sensitive information, particularly with the denials at yesterday's hearing.
Goldberg wasn't lying. The Administration should own up to the mistake, offer the head of the staffer responsible, and move on.

Aside from that how was the play, Mrs. Lincoln?
This was a pretty big frickup. It doesn't mean you have to regret voting for him or that he's not doing a good job, it just means they screwed up in a pretty big way, and fortunately it didn't create much harm. Learn and move on.

You are justifying a misstep by this administration by saying "its ok because Biden did it, too."
Or are you going to throw another tantrum and deny that now too?

In a different thread, someone said that Goldberg's number was listed under a different name in the directory. If this is true, then something is fricky.

Beyond just the Houthis, a journalist having info about patterns for putting into the air a strike package and when the carriers are vulnerable before a strike, the range they’re launching from (derived from time on target), etc. is a massive failure. China likely knows a lot about our carrier ops but knowing when and where to expect the carriers before a strike is a spicy meatball and will help them with war gaming and ultimately help them with the carrier killing missiles.
