To the tune of a billion dollars in campaign donations?

Did they not tell their money folks?

Need to make it look like they tried. Maybe the gain will be worth the sacrifice.

So now we have the Dems punting on the election, but still convincing their donors to donate in an attempt to make it look like they tried?

I'm not sure, sometimes you have to ask whether these people are genius masterminds or just that incompetent.

People are pretty dumb. Lots of rich people were motivated to get rid of Trump.

There is a long lag in policy and tactile economic impacts for voters.

In some cases yes, in some no. There is perception and confidence which, as a business owner, can swing quickly and lead to actions just as quickly. I may be able to hire but unwillng because I'm uncertain about the economy or because of disadvantageous tax policy. A positive change in the tax code, for me, would likely mean hiring more people immediately, buying more machinery etc. Everyone down wind of that benefits.

You don't understand because it's theory to you. You need real experience.

Pump up the jobs reports only to have it show as trending terribly down to make the incoming govt (your political enemy) look bad.

A tale as old as time.

You think there is a diversity of economic visions within the Democrat party?

You think there is some great stable of candidates that the Democrats were holding back on this year and that they will really hit us with in 2028?

I dont think anyone said that. But they are more than willing to let Trump take the fall.

The point is, they don't really have a lot of options or anywhere to go. They are what they are. Joe = Kamala = ______democrat candidate.

People keep acting like something is going to flip them back into some semblance of reasonableness, but there seems to be really zero evidence of such a thing occurring or any evidence of where it could possibly be coming from down the pike.

They'll offer to rebuild using far left means when it falls apart.

They'll start by seizing private retirement accounts and health insurance funds.

This is what worries me.

Probably won’t affect my retirement but possibly my children’s.

Healthcare has already gone to shite as the government has gotten more involved.

Well they should have cut costs somewhere else to make it up like Thomas Massie suggested.

When govt fails, Democrats always claim its because there "wasnt enough govt involvement" and double down.

This new populist era will certainly see a govt takeover of health care, and the money associated with it.

Unfortunately you’re absolutely correct. Certain of us in the medical profession have fought it as much as we can but it’s inevitable. I do hope Trump learned from his past with Fauci and crew and does not assist with the downfall by listening to the federal bureaucracy. Unfortunately the medical profession is more politically divided now than ever following the Covid response

I have no doubt that they will make things look really bad once Trump takes over. Nothing seems to stop the stock market especially the Nasdaq and Bitcoin as of late from going up day after day. At some point this market will have to adjust as it's gone up big for years now.
