Eating their own: Adam Rapoport being canceled for this photo

You might ask, “Who the frick is Adam Rapoport?”

Well he’s the editor-in-chief at Bon Appetit, which has developed a successful YouTube channel in addition to their magazine.

Bon Appetit’s chefs have been shouting about how food is political and have been calling for contributions to the BLM movement.

Mr Rapoport himself wrote an article about the magazine’s response to the protests. Can be found on his Instagram. Here’s an excerpt:

In the meantime, we encourage you to donate to organizations supporting racial justice like the ACLU and the NAACP, and to support the Black-owned food businesses in your own neighborhood. We don’t have all the answers. We know we have work to do. Food has always been political whether we say it or not.

Now is the time to say it.

Well, they’re saying it. Ubiquitous call for his resignation from every member of his staff. Lots of postings about the racial inequality at the company as a whole. Too many white people getting paid.

Guess he shouldn’t have worn that costume however many years ago. Hate to see it.
