thought i'd be slick and go vote before work this morning. I've never seen the parking lot and the surrounding area so packed. This election will set records

People say this every year. In 2016 there were lines around the block for early voting. The lines are long because there’s not a lot of early voting locations.

I went to the location on Harrel's Ferry around 9am and there were easily 100+ people in line. Line wrapped around the building, deep into the parking lot. I'll go back another day

This. However, now that I live in walking distance of my voting precinct, I’m just going to vote in person on election day.

Our twin counties have been early voting all week.

It's dwindling. Yesterday the time was 10 minutes start to finish.

I vote on election day, hardly any lines while everyone else tries to vote early.

what did the crowd look like. I know there were not many young democrats there at that time of day because they are not awake yet but was there a mix of people?

Early voting enthusiasm doesn't mean there will be a high turnout.

Where we live early voting is limited to just a few places around town, but on election day there is a polling place in every neighborhood. I've never had to wait in line on election day, so why would I ever want to go wait in line to vote early.

Do you guys typically have to wait in long lines on election days?

I just early voted in ST Landry Parish. Only one early voting site for the whole parish. There was a line outside and a waiting room inside with 6 feet social distancing.

It took me 90 minutes total. Heavy turn out.

I'm going in the afternoon/evening on election day. It's exciting to me. That night will be like the Super Bowl for me.

I voted Tuesday by mail in ballot. Cut out the post office and hand delivered to the registrars office in Livingston.
Yeah I know it kinda defeats the purpose but with all the crap out there and it’s only two miles up the road what the heck.
