Or something.

Something like subjected to state controlled media that won't report alternative possibilities.

If he is in fact killed they will have a successor in place

They might not announce it immediately but I don't think they go the AI video route like you're claiming

Oh you liberals and your catch phrases that yall think are so smart which in reality make you look so stupid. Let me know when this ADMINISTRATION kills 100’s of millions of people and then is directly responsible for the deaths of close to a billion people and the destruction of Europe. Idiots.
On top of that your party you worship hasn’t let its followers vote on a presidential candidate since 2008 but muh republicans are Nazis……..

Would be the cherry on top of an already successful military assault for Israel, if true.

Does the Iranian government control what thier people can access on internet

Yes, the Iranian government heavily controls internet access for its citizens. It operates one of the world's most sophisticated internet censorship and surveillance systems, often referred to as the "National Internet" or "Halal Internet." Key measures include:
Censorship and Filtering: The government blocks access to numerous websites, including social media platforms (e.g., X, Facebook, YouTube), news outlets, and sites deemed politically or morally sensitive. The Supreme Council for Cyberspace, led by the Supreme Leader, oversees these policies.

Surveillance: Internet activity is monitored through state-controlled ISPs. The government uses deep packet inspection and other technologies to track online behavior, often targeting activists, journalists, and dissidents.

Throttling and Shutdowns: During protests, such as those in 2019 and 2022, the government has slowed or completely shut down internet access to curb communication and information sharing.

VPN Restrictions: While many Iranians use VPNs to bypass restrictions, the government actively blocks VPN services and promotes state-approved apps, which are often monitored.

Legal Enforcement: The 2009 Computer Crimes Law criminalizes content deemed against national security or Islamic values, with harsh penalties, including imprisonment.

Despite these controls, Iranians find ways to access restricted content through VPNs, proxy servers, and platforms like Tor, though this carries significant risks. The government's grip on the internet remains tight, driven by its aim to control information flow and suppress dissent.

That would be a huge story for a legit outlet to break…and the kind that could ruin a reporter’s career if it turned out to be false after they already reported it.

Legit outlets probably doing everything they can to confirm it before reporting. I’d think Iran would try their best to keep the news quiet since confirmation of the Ayatollah’s death might motivate anti-regime groups within Iran to rise up.

Very well could be BS though too

Israel's obviously has deeply planted intelligence assets within Iran, seems Israel would know if factual or not. They haven't confirmed.
