According to the New York Times, the charge is said to be related to an alleged false statement to the FBI about a client's identity when Sussmann pushed now-debunked claims about secret communications between Russia’s Alfa Bank and the Trump Organization in the lead-up to the 2016 presidential election.
Durham “has told the Justice Department that he will ask a grand jury to indict a prominent cybersecurity lawyer on a charge of making a false statement to the FBI,” the New York Times reported on Wednesday, citing “people familiar with the matter.”

So you want to clean house, that would be 100s of thousands of individuals, whose unions and lawyers would fight for years. AND, AND,
You have to have someone with some semblance of what it takes to do all the tasks associated with govt, those 1000s of grunt jobs. But when you go out to replace the ones you fired, the replacements, they too are compromised because they have been associated with the machine as lobbyists, lawyers, etc.
Even the ones you think you can trust, can you? Pompeo, he ran the CIA, he is very very smart, why would he put Gina Haspel in his place. He knew she was running the London station and HAD to be intimately involved in the russia hoax with her former boss Brennan running back and forth over there having meetings? And the friggin senators stabbing him in the back left and right. What a mess we have created. Absolute power corrupts absolutely indeed.

Compare this to the draconian treatment of many of those who were merely INSIDE the capitol on January 6 and committed no acts of destruction and no violence toward any police officers.
