Wrong; he most certainly made a "political statement", whether he realizes it or not. Same with the 'kneeling'. And it is very clear a political statement, as it supports a 'cause' or particular POLITICAL viewpoint, as represented by those whose 'cause' he PUBLICALLY CHOOSES to support. And he rightly so, gets political grief for his PUBLIC statement. Like Rapinoe or BLM ain't making political statements...just playin' ball. Ludicrous, if not mildly naïve or overtly disingenuous.
I DGAF what Brees believes, or anybody for that reason. But when it comes to Transnational Progressive Ideology vs the Constitutional (God-given Rights) version of the which Trump defends and BLM/Rapinoe is out to destroy...then it ain't just a "fricking sport" anymore. Like C. Krauthammer wisely said..."you get the politics wrong, and it all goes bad".
Anybody that don't see this, had best educate themselves; because we're headed for a violent clash per the historical norm, if educated and honest people don't tell the WHOLE truth, and sort this stuff out the easy way.

Well, he'd better give a "flying f*&^", because all those millions and that success won't be able to protect his prosperity and the things he loves if we end up in a throwdown. We all had.
