The us continues to push offensive weapons to Ukraine
Russia has shut down gas to Europe.
Scared people over the next few months will panic over lack of food and heat
The us military has failed at recruitment

My son is about to be 17 and the current world scares the shite out of me. I once thought draft dodgers were traitors but I'll be damned if my son goes and fights for someone like Biden and this evil US government.

My feelings on military service in general have changed considerably over the past 10 years. Not denigrating anyone's service, always thought I'd encourage my child to join if they were interested. The changes in leadership and policy in the past decade+ now have me thinking differently.

My son is turning 21 this month. I was thinking about this topic this morning. It scares the he'll out of me too. We don't send troops to win. We send troops to play Police officers. They hang them out to dry in combat now.

Right now we are way too divided to get behind any war the government wants. So they'll false flag us or leave us wide open to get f'd in the a, like they did with Pearl Harbor.

My niece barely passed her senior year and had to be pulled over the finish line by her principal and that is acceptable to the army? What in the ever living frick? They are desperate to take anyone and it's showing.

I have 8 friends who are vets (ages 50-80). I never initiated the issue to them. They told me straight out that if they were young today they would not enlist in the military because of what the left has done to it.

I know (or should say knew - she left her job) a nice young waitress at the local sports bar. She had a hippieish boyfriend, kinda like what you would expect these days from someone we would all call a "slacker". Lots of video games, living in mom's basement kind of stuff.
I have no idea why but he decided to join the army!
He came back from basic training - he was like a different man! Cut, butt, where his previous attitude had been "yeah, dude, like whatever" now everything with ramrod straight and yessir and nomaam. It's like a different person!
I have a feeling we are reading overreported bad stories in the media.
And I am totally and absolutely againt the woke tranny things, the gays getting married in the West Point chapel, so don't go there with that. I am saying it seems like most of the military remains very unchanged.
It sure seems like boot camp still does the trick for young men!

My son turns 21 this month as well, and like you I have started to worry about this mess and him getting drafted. I served in the Army and have always valued the Military but It would be very hard to serve in the current Military with Generals like Miley and a commander and chief like Biden. Sad state of affairs.
