It's a good show, but not as good as Breaking Bad.

I actually bought that one... Better Call Saul, too. About due for a rewatch soon- whenever I'm done with my One Chicago rewatches.

Breaking Bad wasn't even the best show on TV when it was on

The Wire is the GOAT.

the response from those capable of objective thought is to ask why anyone would feel the need to pretend that it is more prevalent than is actually the case
No rational person with a conscience would downplay it's prevalence. No one. Libs admit they've been diagnosed with mental illness so taking SFPs side on this issue demonstrates a total lack of moral compass

plan and provide resources for the most appropriate response?
As I said, normal people treat it as an emergency because, well, they're not mentally ill

quote:

And how do you justify using words like "evil" to describe someone who believes the number to be different that you believe it to be?
Because normal, moral people wouldn't insult survivors or victims by acting like SFP. It's hard for mentally ill people to understand that perspective, though

I will say this again, SFP has NO IDEA how prevalent it is and to act like "data" shows any such thing is pure absurdity. The LEOs actively fighting against it don't even know. I have known people involved in the fight in multiple cities and they will tell you it's scary. Find out for yourself first hand instead of siding with that fraud buffoon

SFPs playbook

1. Say something stupid
2. Get called out
3. Obfuscate, distract, argue childish semantics
4. Get called out
5. Run away

A huge percentage of very bright people are a bit ... obsessive compulsive.

He is also a lawyer and takes a very legalistic approach to arguing a point. I never have any trouble seeing the point that he is making, while a dozen other posters seem to miss that point entirely. And it usually turns on a point that a non-lawyer would see as being ... esoteric, at best.

From a legalistic perspective, that "esoteric" point is usually very important ... sometimes even "key."

To a non-lawyer, it might well look like nit-picking.

SFPs main response to critique is to distract so that people miss the forest for the trees. Adults see right through it hence, SFPs reputation of being a buffoon

Yeah like posting data that proves my point and you trying to claim it doesn't say what I said it does, when you're clearly wrong.

Because that happened in this thread

SFP, you wouldn't know cognitive dissonance if it was downloaded into your brain. And you are the last person anyone should listen to on that topic. You are as biased and nonfactual as any person on this board

I did make THAT up, my friend.

En entire playlist of Satanic Panic media from the 80s/90s

Our Police State is so powerful it can "tap the wires" of a President and prosecute him legally after his term.

Wait, you're seriously trying to deny that there was a satanic panic in the 80s and 90s? Like, you're saying it didn't happen at all?

Police state

If local and state officials are setting up a “police state” then they’re doing a shitty job of it. I couldn’t tell you the last time I was pulled over by the police or even spoken to a police officer.

The police really need to up their game so they can get in line with your mythical police state.

NO ONE is insulting survivors/victims of sex trafficking. The QUESTION is "What constitutes sex trafficking?" And SFP is correct that the "accepted" definition of that term has changed in recent years.

Even ten years ago, a 17yo female who volutarily got into prostitution ... because it seemed like an easy way to make money, usually to support a drug habit ... was just an "underage prostitute."

Now, that same female has somehow become a "victim of sex trafficking," at least in the eyes of some people.

Sorry, but at age 17, I give her credit for more agency than that. Legally, she is a minor, but she made her choices and is not a "victim" in any reasonable sense of the word.
