So what exactly was your point?

I got an alert from Yahoo Sports on my phone about the article, I read it, thought it was interesting because I remember Trump being very against those who kneel and has said the same lately about Brees, figured since it was about Trump it was relevant to this board, came and posted it.

Narrator: He said this last year too before the season started.

In other words, Trump doesn’t really support Kaeperdouche returning to the NFL.

I didn't know that, my apologies. Thought it was news because of the alert I got and when I googled it I saw several recent articles as well.

Also notice another huge difference between the right and left here:

The left would want him permanently canceled if he were on the "wrong" side. The right just simply disagrees with his stance, but don't want to cancel him.

Amazing, isn't it?

Personally, I want him to play again so I can watch him implode.

Come on man, don’t be ridiculous.

Yes, Kaep fell off after the ridiculous start to his career, but anyone who won’t acknowledge that from a talent perspective he is still one of the top-64 quarterbacks in the world is being dishonest. I mean there are some real bums onNFL rosters right now.

If you want to say he’s not good enough where he’s worth the hassle (similar to guys like Tebow, Carmelo, etc), that’s a different argument. And one that NFL owners clearly agree with.

The league figured him out and his game fell way off. I guarantee he'd be on an NFL roster if he had talent to win consistently.

You know how many NFL QBs have the talent to “win consistently?” Like maybe 10. And there are almost 100 in the NFL. Bro, Nathan Peterman is on and NFL roster. Get out of here with that garbage.

So says every American who has ever watched sport. The best guys should be playing. Not the ones with the best causes.

I tend to agree. I don't oppose him playing

I merely understand why teams don't want to deal with him if he's not playing great. Sure he's not the worst QB in the league
And let's face it teams will take a chance on a really talented guy who's a butthead

But nobody wants a butthead backup that's expensive

Yeah the word has been his asking price has been way too high. I think in the past it's been a combination of his price tag and the anti-kneeling sentiment. Now, the kneeling thing won't keep him from getting a job, but his price may still.

I wouldn't be surprised if Trump doesn't want to see the NFL melt down as well.

They've been doing a pretty good job of it of late so why not add some more cancer.

But that's not what he said several years ago. He explicitly said the owners should fire players for non-results-driven reasons.

Well he was benched in favor of a guy who can’t even play long before his protest so we already know he can’t play. There are a lot of QBs who have a year or two of success like him, Derek Anderson, Matt Cassell and tons more nobody remembers so just because he had a decent 24-25 game run doesn’t mean he was ever an upper half QB. Personally idc what the NFL does anymore, I quit watching it, but you’re right on the clear cut differences of how either side views what’s supposed to be a results based league.

Don’t they have to be allowed into the league before they can kneel and be fired?
