I agree. Trump should take a hit for failing to repeal. I do give him partial credit for repealing the individual mandate.

The ACA is in a really awful no man's land right now. They need to fix that shite soon, but the looming mid terms all but assure that won't happen this year.

I am about 1/2 way through it and it is entertaining fiction at best. Such transparent BS filling the space.

If anyone has spent 5 minutes around the inside of campaigns they can see through this.

I mean seriously, in one paragraph let's play spot the inconsistencies:

quote:

now was threatening, and for a while the dinner appeared doubtful. But the 76-year-old Ailes, who was as dumbfounded by his old friend Donald Trump’s victory as everyone else, understood that he was passing the right-wing torch to Bannon. Ailes’s Fox News, with its $1.5 billion in annual profits, had dominated Republican politics for two decades. Now Bannon’s Breitbart News, with its mere $1.5 million in annual profits, was claiming that role. For 30 years, Ailes — until recently the single most powerful person in conservative politics — had humored and tolerated Trump, but in the end Bannon and Breitbart had elected him.

Which is it? Old friend or someone merely tolerated and humored. This guy and his editor need work.

he fell backwards into it because the low IQ citizens of this country ate up the bombastic, blowhard routine. it's the same people that watch pro wrestling. that's his base.

Keep thinking this in 2018, 2020, and beyond please.

Trump worked his arse off campaigning. He wasn't in it to lose.

Plus if he didn't want to be president he had an out. He could have used the Russia thing as an excuse to resign and let Pence take over.

Most presidential candidates spend their entire careers, if not their lives from adolescence, preparing for the role. They rise up the ladder of elected offices, perfect a public face, and prepare themselves to win and to govern.
The most sickening part of your excerpt.

This article is a preview of the book, but wow, just this article. From the campaign wanting to lose, to Trump and Melania fighting on Inauguration day. There's just so much in here.

Click the link, pop some popcorn and enjoy.

It said they had a contingency plan if they lost, and it wasn't too shabby of a plan. As far as fighting, Bill and Hilldog didn't fight? I mean this is all conjecture. Nothing in this book is damning, it's just speculation.

So Trump wins even when he doesn't want to.

Well let's see now...which is it?

A. He didn't want to win

B. He wanted to win so badly he colluded with muh Russians to do so

You can't have it both ways, you know.
