Why aren't all murders committed with a gun tried in federal court?

Can you quote the part of the post that states which murders committed with a gun do not break the federal law I quoted? I missed it.

You aren't making the point that you think you are. A murder could technically be tried by both the state and in Federal court but that would be a waste.

FYI

While both state and federal courts can prosecute the same murder under the dual sovereignty doctrine, it’s usually unnecessary unless there’s a compelling reason for federal involvement.

I asked a question, I'm not trying to make a point.

If killing someone with a firearm is a federal crime, why aren't all murders tried in federal court? Obviously there is an answer because all murders are NOT tried in federal court.

What point did you think I was trying to make?

What this man did was not just cold blooded murder, but destabilizing to society. We are lucky he got caught quickly or there would have been many copycats.

Yes, I know.

That's murder, which is traditionally a state crime. My question was specifically restricted to federal crimes. Maybe you should try and read and comprehend every word next time.

The comments on the social media posts of this AP headline are disturbing.

We are much closer to major social upheaval than people realize. Any significant economic downturn could light this fire quickly.
