Does this completely destroy the middle class?

The middle class has been experiencing increased pressure over the last 30 years due to the growing income inequality gap. How will this affect it?
The elite will double their money when the market recovers while the middle class will continually get hammered.
Where do we go from here?

Why don’t you progs lead a revolt against the wealthy instead of whining about income inequality or gap this and gap that.
Do something about it already. So lazy

Many/most of the middle class have money in the market as well.

The middle class hammers itself with financial stupidity. I can’t tell you how many families I know who have every toy and take every vacation, but will be one of the ones out on the street if they missed 2 paychecks.

I have the same number of shares I had previously, they are just worth less now. They will be worth more again when the market rebounds as I have no plans to touch any of them.

Destroying the middle class and leaving everyone equally poor and dependent has been a lib dem goal since the 19th century. Leaving a small liberal elite in the coastal cities of course.
But they messed up big time and got ahead of themselves this time leaving themselves with a guy who cusses out anyone asking him a legit question, tries to fight voters and young female students and embarrasses himself and the party almost daily.

That's been your party's goal since Obama was elected. He got more middle class people off of employment and onto the tit than any POTUS in history.
Trump waved the magic wand, which pissed you and your ilk off. Then, along came China to help bail you out.
Now Nancy is leveraging this to continue this most-recent episode of "let's frick American workers for political gain".

yeah... in their 401k. He has a point. This will inevitably widen the income gap. I myself am a buyer right now with extra cash I do have, but I'm 29 and sadly not a tech billionaire.
The middle class go right back where they were before all of this started, while the rich who have cash laying around are able to take advantage of buying stock at an extreme discount with no real underlying economic issue.

Well, if they pulled it on the downside, then they are pretty fricking stupid...
Look at you not knowing how markets work... doesn't really surprise me...

Where do we go from here?
The middle class is getting destroyed, and executives of the companies getting bailed out will essentially be unaffected, and likely get huge bonuses from the rebound, and be better off than they would have without the coronavirus.
The Republicans in Congress are so out of touch, they'll lose the Senate in the fall because they don't get it.
So to answer, where do we go from here... once GEOTUS leaves office, a huge Democratic rule in this country begins. Because of this moment right now.

Buy high, sell low is a predictably bad practice, for sure.

So are you really rubbing it in deplorable flyover country that they are fricked again?

It will take a few years for this to financially clear up but it won't matter. Things will go back to normal a lot faster than people think. It wont take long before the US turns into the manufacturing power it once was when many overseas jobs come back.

Almost everybody feels entitled to live a notch above their pay grade.
People who make 50k try to live like they make 100k.

The rich will be bailed out first, like they have been doing for weeks if not years. QE to infinity.
Everyone else is expendable.
